Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a big group of friends and we had a great time! Apparently on Sunday nights during the summers they have movie nights with fun drinking games and select $2 beers. This place is great, I love the look and the fact that most of the furniture doesn't math! LOL. They also have jenga, connect four, and uno. I must say that the place is too small and most of the time while the movie was playing and it was busy I kept on getting bumped into or asked to move to let other people pass by. At first it didn't annoy me but WOW this happened for at least two hours. We ordered two large pizzas ($15 each!). One was the regular cheese and the other the BBQ chicken. My favorite pizza was the BBQ chicken, it was AMAZING! Especially with a little bit of sriracha on top. The cheese pizza was BEYOND SALTY. Seriously have never had such salty pizza before!! I'm pretty sure I downted two water bottles by the time I was done with my two slices. I also tried the regular french fries and they were decent! Overall, my boyfriend paid for one large pizza and 4 beers and it came out to $45. If you ask me, the beers are overpriced.. by a good amount. Yeah this place is great because you have a ridiculous amout of beers and wines to chose from, BUT it's going to take a toll on your pocket. Overall this place was fun to go to, not sure if I will be coming back soon. There's other places with better beer prices!

I like beer. I like trying new beers and different beers and beers that I've never had before. I even use an app on my phone (untappd) to track my beers and such. So when my Dad brought me to this place, I was very pleased. Beer coolers all down one wall. Stacked cases of beer down another wall. Just bucketloads of beer and beer and more beer, going on for days and days. Short of having some very limited regional brews, they have nearly everything. Hundreds? A thousand? I can't count that high. I selected a great Bahamian beer. It went well with the plate of fish tacos. Yes, they serve food too. I like the exposed kitchen where you can see everything being prepared. This is a very sketchy neighborhood. When you park your car, leave nothing in sight and lock the doors. Otherwise, just be aware of your surroundings and you should be okay.

Tuna melt to die for. I'm not sure how many people know about this place but wow what a great spot to eat. The decorations are unique to say the least, the place is definitely hidden but certainly worth the find.

I hesitate to Yelp! this place, because I like the low-key atmosphere and every weekend seems to get a little bit busier (so what, I'm selfish), but the BEST (and possibly hottest) bartender needs to be acknowledged as the BEST beer pourer EVER. #iHeartMark&Julian #MarkIsTheShitAtRiverside

This place is really really hard to find so I'm thankful someone else drives me each time we come. Who would expect it to be so hidden in a cute neighborhood but at least we got here. It's basically the coolest laid back place to hang out with friends. The first time we came here I was so impressed to see so many different age groups hanging out together. Everyone that comes here is super friendly and so are the people that work here. And once the Riverside employees get to know you some then you feel more like part of the Riverside family. They have a great concept concerning the beer in the refrigerators. They have a wide selection of bottled beers and you just take what you want and pay when you leave on the honor system. Just bring your empty beer bottles to the counter to pay for them. Let's not forget to talk about their food. The first time you come you wouldn't believe that a place this laid back has really good food. For awhile I was getting the fish tacos. You can get them fried, blackened or grilled. BUT NOW my two favorite dishes are the PIZZA and the CHICKEN WINGS. You MUST try both of these. Oh, and don't forget to grab a beer to wash it down. To top it off they have homemade cookies. I end almost every visit with one. Every Wednesday night I do a bike ride in the area with Critical Mass and this is our spot to end our ride with a late night dinner and drinks. It has officially become one of my favorite spots. Come on by and I bet you'll be like me and always want to come back for more.

Amazing conversion of a convenience store to a help yourself craft beer heaven.. Food was really good too.. Fish tacos and pastrami Reuben were awesome.. Julian and Lisa (owners) are really good people and also told us about their store across the street which also had an excellent selection of beer and allow U.S. beer fans the opportunity to meet the Brewers like New Belgium's Cody on 6/13... We will be there!

Found this place on Yelp when I was in the area doing some business. First of all I thought I was lost when I was looking for this place. I was alone and I must say when I pulled up I was almost afraid to go in. I am so glad I did. This place is so cute and food was great. I had the pizza and it was very good, all fresh made. I'm not a beer drinker but they had a ton of choices. I will defiantly be back and bring some friends.

We have been here twice. The first time we only had a beer. It is a cool atmosphere based on the honor system which you don't see a lot of these days. We came back to eat because the food smelled delicious. The BBQ chicken pizza is really good if you are getting pizza I recommend it. Next time I will try a sub because they looked awesome. The food is very affordable also.

A friend who lives locally brought me to Riverside Market for breakfast. The atmosphere is very laid back. I had every intention of ordering breakfast, but instead ordered the fish tacos (at 10 am). Worth it. The fish was crispy and the taco wasn't soggy at all. My friends ordered omelettes which looked delicious. The omelettes are baked and because of this take about 20 minutes to make- but the waiter made us fully aware of that when we ordered. They've got tons of craft beers available too, but I figured it was probably too early for that.

Love this place. Super chill vibe. Feels clean, and is clean. (which is odd for a place that serves/sales as much beer as they do)...which also takes me to my next point. Lots of different Beers from all walks of life in this place. And even though I don't enjoy beer, I'm sure somewhere in those coolers I could find one I would. The service is great and staff is friendly :) the food was tasty and not greasy.

Best place in Fort Lauderdale to grab drinks and food! Love the "scene," food, beer selection, and ambiance. Super chill place. The MOST AMAZING BBQ Chicken Pizza on the face of the planet. There are board games, couches, and high top tables with bottle openers all around. Most authentic Fort Lauderdale restaurant around.

Great neighborhood spot. Amazing beer selection -- its almost too much, in a good way. When in doubt, ask the man behind the bar, he'll recommend something tasty on tap. Hummus was decent, Reuben was amazing. DOG FRIENDLY, amen.

I don't know where to start with Riverside Market. The atmosphere is incredible, the food, incredible, the service, incredible. Riverside Market is kind of off the beaten path, stored away in a residential area. But, if you're passing through Fort Lauderdale, you have no choice but to go check it out. If you're a beer fan, you'll be in paradise. With a wall of self serve beer fridges to your left when you walk in, you'll have a mini orgasm. Now, the food. I had the Reuben pastrami along with a plate of fries and some hot wings. Everything that I ate was only getting better with every bite, never feeling stale. I left the place with a gigantic smile on my face. I can honestly say that Riverside Market made my vacation to Florida worth it alone. The beaches are nice, but a good Reuben and beer selection will win, every single time. This establishment will be at the top of my list every time I come back here.

This is one of those place you want to share with you friends and you don't want to share with your friends because you almost want to keep your own little secret. Great relaxed place with good food and a plethora of beer to choose from. I love the hummus and their chicken tacos which you will find are only served on Tuesdays! Pizza is also pretty good there. Go enjoy, be sure to get one of those big cookies on your way out and don't forget to fill the tip jar. We have been going for a while and it will always be one of our favorite hangouts!

A great bar to relax at with some good food and great beers. Perfect for catching up with friends. Be aware of bingo night on the first Monday of every month and on some Sundays they host movie nights. I prefer visiting Riverside Market on a Monday or Tuesday night when it's a lot calmer atmosphere. The BBQ chicken pizza is a must have, and their wings are a close second. On the way out the door, make sure to take a look at their cookies next to the register, the red velvet cookie is a nice top off for the night.

We had a great time. Brought 5 guys out for an after work drink and hang out. We had lots of fun. Tons of great beers. Good solid food. We has the wings, hummas and some sandwiches. The service was great. Can't wait for their next location.

Great little hidden gem! Probably the best craft beer selection I have ever seen at any bar/restaurant. However this is not a restaurant in the true sense of the word. It is a little Creekside market where you sit down, grab your own beer, in order from a small but tasty menu. Service is good, but this is not a "nice" place so don't expect all the amenities. It has a kind of a bohemian feel to it. Definitely a love it or hate it kind of place... I had the caprese salads which was excellent, wings which were large but nothing extraordinary, and the fries which were delectable!

Awesome sauce with a side if cool beans! The best way to discribe this place is hipster chic. I love the pizza! I'm from NY, and this is very close to NY style pizza. They have a huge beer selection. The only downside is that it gets too packed.

Riverside market is one of my favorite beer places that I have ever been to anywhere. It all begins with a unique concept. The walls are lined with clear glass-doored refrigerators filled with beer. You help yourself, take the beer you want, and pop the cap with the endless openers on the tables and dangling from the ceiling. They have an enormous selection of craft and international beers. If that is not enough, Riverside occasionally offers tap takeovers in which they serve beer from other breweries. For example, before MIA ever opened, I was able to sample four selections at Riverside on a tap takeover night. On top of all of this, Riverside has now opened another building across the street, the Craft Beer Cartel, that specializes in selling everything you need for homebrewing. I believe it is the only homebrewing store in all of Broward County. Furthermore, they sell tons of beers to take away. Want more? How about classes on brewing? How about days in which homebrewers can bring their beers to serve to customers that pay a flat fee for unlimited samplings? Need more evidence that this is the home of beer experts? How about the fact that Native Brewing Company has chosen this place to brew their own beer? The seating and vibe is terrific! Indoor seating includes comfy sofas and chairs as well as wooden chairs and tables. I love sitting outside. Although there is not much to look at, I enjoy the chill, laid back environment. Lastly, Riverside serves excellent food. They are well known for their pizza and healthy options. If you're ever looking to have a drink then check out our craft beer group: meetup.com/Craft-Beer-in…

I'm totally unimpressed with the food at Riverside Market. I've been here twice and both times the food fell well short of expectation. POSITIVES - if you're a nerd or a hipster you'll love this place. It's like a nerd/hipster rodeo in here. - excellent choice of craft beers. - unique laid back non-matching family garage like interior and feel. NEGATIVES - food generally has no appeal, it's not even worthy to be classed as bar-food. Sure the menu has fancy names, but the food is visually unappealing and some what bland. - over priced & grossly over-rated. This time around I ordered the Rueben turkey sandwich to go. I called about 20 minutes ahead, assuming by the time I arrived my order would be ready. When I arrived nothing was done, after the dude behind the register realized I did the call in order, he then told the kitchen to make the sandwich. I had to wait another 15 or so minutes for them to make what I already ordered 20 minutes ago. The Rueben was so boring and dull, it was just turkey & sour kraut hot pressed between two pieces of "publix" sliced bread. The deli mustard and swiss cheese that its suppose to come with was MIA. I could have easily saved my $8.00 and made this bland unappealing sandwich on my own. STAR RATING 1.0 I'm leaving riverside market with 2 stars because of atmosphere and beer selection, otherwise it would be 1 star.

This place is a hidden gem. Food is simple but delicious. Everyone I've brought there has loved it. I recommend the hummus combo where you get to try all 4 kinds.

The food sucks! but it doesn't matter.. this place is so chill the staff is so great and beer and more beer doesn't get better than that . I love this place and always recommend it!

The most appropriate description of my love affair with this place is one word. Obsessed. I am not actually a huge beer drinker so I couldn't make an opinion on the selection besides saying it seems they have a very large variety and all of my friends are always excited to try new things. I love the food and the ambiance personally. Friendly people, eclectic decor and I really enjoy the Caprese salad or Caprese sandwich on baguette. I also get wings when I do this, I'm always happy on wing weds when they offer a few new variations that aren't on the menu most days. I caught beer bingo one week and that was a ball. Just normal bingo with different beers and beer glasses as priZes. $5 to play all night.

What a pleasant evening. We walk in here on a Friday evening and the place is at peak capacity. We're scoping out tables, and my sibling makes friends with a couple who are neighborhood folks. We all agree to share a table. They couldn't have been more pleasant, and we quickly bonded with them. It turns out they were on their 33rd wedding anniversary date, and they decided to keep it simple. The wife was working hard to set me up with her sister, which I appreciated (we'll see what happens with that -- ha). But, we had a great time meeting them, and enjoyed their company. We ordered a pizza and jalapeño poppers, which were both really good. I like being able to walk over to the fridge, and grab a bottle of beer. My favorite was the pumpkin ale. Very good. I love the atmosphere at this place. It feels like a house party, with folks walking inside and out pretty freely. I like the couches and living room comfort. It is deeply rooted in a portion of old Fort Lauderdale, and has obviously gained good word of mouth, and for good reason. It's a very comfortable place to relax and enjoy good conversation with either your guests or with complete strangers.

I said I would never return to riverside for pizza. I didn't last more than a week after my last review. I was back and ordered pizza and sweet potato fries. Pizza came out and they forgot the sweet potato fries. After pizza was finished, sweet potato fries came out over cooked. The waitress suggested ranch dressing with them. She said she would get us some. She never returned. That experience made me realize it wast riverside. It was me. I shouldn't be eating sweet potato fries and pizza. I should be only eating pizza. Problem solved. Next time I ordered only pizza and only pizza came out.. Took about an hour but it still came out. All jokes aside this place is still a very special place and I will continue to say I'll never return but will be back the next day.

Craft beer Nirvana. A help yourself approach for grabbing one of their 500 craft beers from the coolers. Only thing missing is a drinking buddy and an open kitchen. Maybe tomorrow. Very cool place off the beaten path and worth the detour.

I mean, not much to say that hasn't already been said. Unique concept, chill vibe, casual comfy setting, great thin crust pizza, etc. etc. On my 3rd visit though I was able to separate myself from "wow this place is so cool" mode and notice a few things. Firstly, they have wine! I picked out a nice bottle of Bongle California Red, a gentleman behind the counter uncorked it and handed me two glasses to pour at my leisure. Sweet. Second, they have an awesome potato chip selection on the side wall. Flavors like spicy dill pickle and olive oil rosemary. Will definitely try some next time I find myself in here bottles deep, table full of empties. Also, this place is packed with hipsters.... and babies. Like, infants. This part was weird. Guess the new hipster thing to do is bring your kids to the unassuming neighborhood bar with you? Oh hipsters, you're so cool. In your defense though, the kids did clear out of the place by about 9. Hopefully to go home and not some other bar. All in all though, Riverside is an awesome, rare gem in South Florida.

Hands down my favorite place in Fort Lauderdale. Now, Riverside is not off any main road or easily visible. Its tucked away, which is kind of a good thing. I think people usually hear about it from other people who have been before. Word of mouth kinda thing... and from what I've seen, the people who all go there seem prettt laid back. Its a serve yourself craft beer place that also has food. I dont know how they are able to pull it off becuase if every asshole knew about it and went there i could easily see the amazing atmosphere getting ruined by morons. Luckily though that is not the case. The food is great, the beer selection is great, the staff has always been awesome. Not sure of the owners name but he has treated my friends and I pretty damn great more than once. Long live Riverside!

I could have sworn that a few years ago, when I came here, it was more a market than anything else. The first time I went, it was purely by chance, as my friends and I were in the downtown area and needed to grab a bite for lunch. Then I revisited the place a few weeks ago, and while the setup looked nearly the same, it had a completely different feel. The place definitely caters to a 20s/30s crowd, and it seems to be a place for groups (despite there being a lack of seating for the numbers that go there, and the sparse parking available). It was fun to watch people bring in their board games and see several rounds of Head's Up in iPhones. The staff is friendly, and the prices are decent. The drinking service works like an honor's system. You get a drink from the fridge and bring up the empty bottle (or bottles) up to the counter when you're ready to leave. They calculate your bill based on the bottles you bring. Little tidbit - there are bottle openers hanging from the ceiling all over the place. It is rather unusual, and yet highly appealing. It feels like a local's place, and it is perhaps the most comfortable one I've been in. You might be surprised to be driving in a residential area, but once you see all the cars in a gravel lot, you'll know you reached Riverside Market.

BUYER BEWARE!!! $75 for 3 beers! We picked out a few beers to enjoy yesterday night from the refrigerator. There were no prices marked or anything. After we finished drinking them, one was mediocre and the other was fairly good, we went to the counter to pay. It wasn't till we saw the check that they had charged us $32 for one and $25 for another. We were outraged. I suggested that they really need to advertise the prices because they completely got us by surprise. I was informed that it was not their policy to do so. We will not be coming back, we felt robbed. Be careful! I'm pretty sure they are violating some type of law by hiding their prices.

Still super excited that this gem is so close, parking can be a lil tough at times, park by the park around the corner. works on the honor system the beer selection and atmosphere cannot be found anywhere else. bbq chicken pizza was awesome the other night, bingo nights on wednesday for $5 for a bingo round, usually goes 6-7 rounds, cool beer prizes. def recommend live local drink local !

All you could ask for in a neighborhood bar: - Awesome Crowd - Friendly/Helpful/Knowledgeable Staff - Amazing Beer Selection - Incredible Food - Laid Back Atmosphere - Affordable Don't be intimidated by "how it works." All you need to do is walk-in, grab a beer, sit down, enjoy, save your empties and pay on the way out. If you're looking to try something new and get away from the chaos of Himmarashee, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place is awesome. Pick your own beer (HUGE SELECTION) and have a seat. Comfy couches are available or tables. They have a great affordable menu. Just moved to the area and I've already been here a few times. Highly recommend!

Always have an amazing selection of beer. Delicious pizza. The only thing to be careful is if you pick something limited, ASK what the price is BEFORE opening.

For a craft beer mecca, the food here is amazing. Great pies and sandwiches. Atmosphere is very relaxed and feels like home. My only issue is the prices for some of their beers. They operate on the honor system where you take what beers you want directly from the fridge and then pay for them later, but the downside is that prices are not available so you could wind up $80 in the hole quickly. Other than that, would recommend to visit time and time again with good company for a bite and a nice craft beer.

I did not know people could get so drunk off of beer. Apparently they can, and I get reminded of it every time I go. Have had some pretty interesting conversations outside and saw a girl take a nice snooze behind the wheel for say an hour, then wake up ready to work. Geez people have an O'Doul's. Anyway, I barely even started this review and I'm already side tracked. Beer. Right. Amazing. This place has such a great selection of beer. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming it almost feels like my house. I could actually live there and I might of taken a nice snooze on of the couches a few times. The food is good. But honestly haven't eaten there many times the beers themselves are a pretty good meal in my book. They have a billie's chillies for those of you who like spice. And a Banana Bread beer for those of you with a sweet tooth. See: entree and dessert. BOOM. They also have beers from Einstok, an Icelandic beer brewery that I'm really digging lately. Their Margerita pizza is so so good as well. I love that this place is in a neighborhood and not in annoying let's say Las Olas. Thank god. Because of that it draws in a pretty chill cool crowd who loves to get wasted off of beer. Count me in.

if you want to take a walk back in time to good old florida. walk in , grab a beer or get one on tap (tap is colder) and find a seat, even if you have to share with a stranger. Order some food, last time we got the margarita pizza with fresh basil, tomatoes and buffalo cheese on top of their thin home made crust. It was so good I atet the entire thing by myself. My date got the fish tacos, wow they were crispy fish with a warm soft shell and a little bit of lettuce and love! after a few beer those strangers became friends. We exchanged numbers and promised to meet again. When your done grab your empty beer bottles, all the checks for food and drafts and pay at the front. For those that complain there is only 1 bathroom for this entire place, its an old building from the 1930s , be happy they haven't changed a thing!!

Love this place because all the different options you have. You can come to drink, or eat, or hang with friends, or do it all! Hundreds of beers to choose from, great home made foods like pizza and sandwiches. Super casual and a great spot for locals. Tucked in a dodgy neighborhood but the quiet is worth the oddity. Average pricing for the Fort Lauderdale city/beach area.

Do you have any idea what's better than a 35 dollar plate of Tartufo Pasta with a 200 dollar bottle of wine? The first thing that comes to mind is a 35 dollar plate of Tartufo Pasta with a 200 dollar bottle of wine "with someone else paying"... but we all know that isn't always possible. And sometimes I just want to sit back like I'm at home, pop open a cold brew and eat something with my hands... I just summed up Riverside Market Cafe Who needs to be stuck in a place that caters to one segment (like hipster bars, biker bars, frat boy bars)... I love that Riverside Market's clientele are are from all walks of life. You'll find the hipsters, the bikers, and the frat boys but you'll also find that older "creepy" guy that hits on all the younger girls and you'll find everyday guys and girls that don't associate with one group or another... It's a place for everyone (even the creepy dude). Riverside is in the middle of a residential community, far from the over-hyped and over-priced watering holes... already giving it a HOME LIKE FEEL... What was once a convenience store is now converted to "Beer Mecca"... Inside you'll find refrigerators lining one wall where you HELP YOURSELF; that's right, pick your poison, pop the top and find a seat (it's all on the honor system). And they do offer a bunch of drafts as well. And the seating is like home... couches, large cushion chairs and bar stools at high tops for small and large groups... come as you are (it don't mater if you are wearing your workout gear or your best threads on the way home from work); just come. Once you're seated you can order food from one of the girls working the room AND no pressure to order food... sitting at tables for extended periods of time just to drink only is perfectly fine. The place has the feel of a bar and cafe rolled into one (and that is exactly what Riverside is). As far as food goes... first thought is "why get food at a beer joint", but that was before I realized the cafe importance here. After seeing so many people scarfing down huge sandwiches, wraps, hummus platters and pizza's, I finally jumped on board and so far everything has been bang-4-the-buck worthy. My go to has been (and still is) the Fish Tacos (3 for 10 bucks). Pizza is great here too (thin crust and unique texture, kinda soft under cooked dough) and I'm planning on trying their omelets soon (oven cooked so they take a little time to bake). My only gripe is the pricing... food wise, the pricing is very fair and beer that is being consumed on the premises is usually fair too. I was told taking bottles "to-go" is discounted but on two different visits I got the price of a bottle to drink here but when I went to buy them later "to-go" they wanted to charge me the same price. Rather than dwell on it, I've moved on and enjoyed what I do love here... help yourself service, comfortable atmosphere, good food and always a good time. As of today (December 4, 2013) I changed Riverside to 5 Star... I still don't buy "to-go" bottles here but it has become my "reliable" "GO-TO" place for a good time... Riverside Market's laid back and chill atmosphere is top notch

I really don't want to YELP this but I have too! This place is awesome, hipster, cool, different, and away from it all!! It's in the middle of a hidden residential area south of Broward blvd... It's over a bridge and voila you're in another world.. Hundreds of beers and the best pizza south of Ohio!!! Why do I not want to YELP this you ask? Well, I don't feel like waiting at the door and just about now it's not too well known! So let's keep it local!!!

This place was amazing! Ana was our server and was very quick and helped us navigate throughout the new journey we were on. Seriously, this place is somewhat magical. First off, there was no one to seat us and we couldn't find a seat, every chair and sofa was taken! They had just started a movie on the projector and it was one of my favs..."There's something about Mary." Needless to say, I was super happy just that we could not only eat this fantastic pizza but that we could also watch this movie! Oh, and who cares that no one seated us. We eventually found w spot! I saw this book and was so intrigued, it was Guinness book of world records. So my boyfriend and I skimmed through it and learned so much about The other U.S. States. Then we chose this awesome beer and had jalapeño poppers that burst in your mouth with cream cheese. Following that, we ordered pepperoni pizza. O.M.G. Long review, but, my boyfriend and I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! Such a chill place to relax, play drinking games and eat delicious food. Must Go!

A beer drinkers dream!! It's probably a good thing I live hours away or else I'd go broke trying every beer they have. You would never know the treasures that wait inside if you were to drive by. I think this was why they invented the phrase "hidden gem". It's a very unassuming place with a friendly staff and happy, chatty customers. We were made to feel welcome by everyone there.

Ahhh in LOVE with the atmosphere here! There's literally a wall of beers and wine, fishing lines dangling from the ceiling with bottle openers at the end of them, and couches where you can just lounge on. They have Florida beers as well as craft beers from all over the world and drafts too. My friend and I walked in, grabbed a beer each and sat down on the couches. Soon after a waiter came by with menus for food. We got the hummus sampler which had sundried tomato hummus, garlic hummus and roasted red pepper hummus. The garlic one was by far the best! It was so garlicky. If you go, don't even worry about trying the other hummus. I also ordered the fish tacos which had fried mahi chunks and lettuce, pico and their house sauce. Hmmm not too big of a fan of these tacos. I guess cuz being from California and having fish tacos in Ensenada, I expected a big slab of battered and fried fish instead of fish chunks. And of course I was looking for cabbage instead of lettuce and crema instead of their house sauce. But then again I know I'm in Florida! Still delicious and the service was great! Def coming back to try out more beers

By far the greatest bar to chill and talk with friends, eat and enjoy beers you wouldn't otherwise ever try. Okay, so the only downside is that there is one bathroom and the beers do not have a price on them. You can always ask for the price. Other than that it's a perfect hangout. I have only met the nicest, down to Earth people here. Fish tacos - great! BBQ CHicken Pizza- Fricken Amazing! (ask them add hot peppers) Check Wings - Good, but could be better Fried Pickles - they do not have them so please request them!!!! Beers. The people there know their stuff. Tell 'em what you like and they will recommend new beers for you and so far, they have not been wrong. Great atmosphere if you're not looking to impress and want to hand out with friends and meet new ones. Oh, music, not too loud where you have to scream and they play good stuff. Led Zeppelin was playing and for me, that, a beer, and my friends were all we needed.

This place is a haven for craft beer lovers. They have over 650 beers available in a bottle and 20 on draft. The staff is very friendly and will help you find the right Bree for you. While we had some good Florida beers we order so delicious food from their kitchen. The pizza dough was made in house and was quite tasty. As we're all of the sandwiches we had, especially the north fork. I highly recommend you check this place out if you want a good place for craft beer or just a quiet place off the beaten path for lunch.

We are big fans of the Riverside Market! Parking is sometimes rough, but worth it (and they're supposed to be expanding soon). The biggest, best selection of beer in the area. Fun atmosphere. They have board games! And we have never been disappointed by anything we've gotten to eat here. The Caprese sandwich and the Northfork sandwich are two favorites. AND, it's dog-friendly (for the outside seating only -- which there is not much of). We don't recommend this for a really hot summer afternoon, because it's a hot, Florida, summer afternoon. Nobody wants to sit outside in the hot sticky air, and the shade is limited despite the umbrellas. However, I would highly recommend bringing your pooch during cooler times.

Cool Vibe, awesome beer selection, ALWAYS busy so expect to stand or wait and chill out....but the PIZZA was amazing, cheese and BBQ!!! I tried the fish tacos and I did not like that the mahi was fried (but my own mistake for not reading properly) good thing my friend ate my tacos and I ate his pizza LOL, honor system for sure. grab your beer, order your food, when you are done go to the front and tell them what you had and bring your empty beer bottles. Honesty and integrity :)

This is my favorite spot in town. I love the beer selection, the food and the staff. This is a place to bring your friends, entertain a colleague or sit quietly and read the newspaper. I have been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks and I would highly recommend them all. I recommend asking for suggestions if you are not sure what to drink - their advice is always spot on.

Wow! I have to say this place is so deceiving, it looks so sketch from the outside, but inside it's craft beer heaven! I love that you help yourself to your own beer, and the pizza is killer. This is totally a local place, and for a craft beer lover this is a must go to. Love the decor inside.

Go for the beers and leave before you get hungry. The service is mediocre and so is the food. It is not horrible food but for what they charge it is not worth it, in my opinion. Next time I go, I will probably drink here and walk across the street to the sub place.

I love the food and the environment The people were nice to me and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed being there plus there were some games so we could play The only negative point was that was not so clean. it was wonderful to spend some time there I highly recommend and I'm looking forward to going there again!

Fell absolutely in love with this place. Found some rare craft beers and loved the vibe and feel of the seating arrangement. Everything you drink is self serve which is a little dangerous but we had an amazing time.

Ode to a great watering hole. I'm going to sing this one; hope you don't mind. Because the Riverside Market Cafe is what I've been looking for since emigrating from my country, Northeast Ohio, one year ago. Riverside is a sleepy neighborhood sheltered by a canopy of dense, bucolic overgrowth far upstream. (Think Martin Sheen in a PBR (not that PBR)). The Riverside Market Cafe is tucked in what looks to be an otherwise residential area. Very calming. I haven't been anywhere quite like it in Broward. My girlfriend and I went on a dark, rainy evening. Despite monsoon conditions, we met a packed house with locals spilling out onto the front porch. After browsing the massive beer stash for a hot second, a waitress found us somewhere near La Fin Du Monde. We placed an order for an 18'' margherita pizza and grabbed beers from the case. Without much effort, we found the bottle openers dangling from the ceiling. They hung below an assortment of maritime rescue gear and were also flanked by other pieces of FL memorabilia on the walls. Not to be outdone by the other accents, the candelabrum was fashioned from beer bottles. Toast to that. Landing some seats at one of the communal tables didn't take long. No-frills here, just paradise on a sheet of something slightly better than OSB. Our new friends from all directions were great fun. Not a better place to socialize. Until the pizza box made it to our table. Please tell me if you've found a better pizza South FL. This is the real thing. Can't end this without tipping to the wait staff. Welcoming, attentive and very knowledgeable. What a pleasure. Rule of thumb: At great places like this, the wait staff is usually hanging out with their friends while the customers linger on in agony. Glad to see their priorities are in line. .

Unbelievable selection of beers in a low-key, super pleasant environment. The staff is always beyond delightful. They must treat their employees really well... you can tell they're having a good time and totally committed to making sure you're happy with everything. Also a surprisingly interesting and diverse menu, always excellently prepared. I'm not a sandwich eater, but there's always something else I can nosh on. Now, if I can just drive there without making at least one wrong turn... I guess it just adds to the fun.

Kevin, thank you for your hospitality and great service! I will go back for more hard ciders and wine. I ate the fish tacos and they were pretty tasty. I agree with other reviews, after being in this environment, it feels comfy, relaxed and this makes it easy to have a good time. Their honor system is pretty cool. Drink as you go and pay before you go. Awesome.

I cannot say enough about this place. My BF and I visited for the first time last year. We actually went for breakfast. It came up on Google as "top 10 breakfast spots in Ft. Lauderdale". We were a bit shocked, to say the least, when we pulled up to the location. It's in a residential neighborhood in the Sail Boat Bend district in Ft Lauderdale which struck me as odd at first. It almost looks like a bait shop from the outside and it's right across the street from some duplex apartments. We were hesitant to even walk in at first but we looked at each other and said "we may as well, we're hungry and we're already here". A decision we will never regret! I love this damn place. I love the "I'm at a good friends house" feel. You help yourself to coffee and make it to your liking. There are board games and card games you can play while there. We both ordered omelettes. Probably the best omelette we've had ever! The service was great! The staff is friendly and super chill. We've been back many, many times since our initial visit for both breakfast and dinner and have not been disappointed once! The fish tacos are phenomenal and the pizzas are amazing! Don't even get me started on the beer selection....I am not an avid beer drinker but this place has made me one. They have coolers and coolers full of so many different beers from all over the world. There is a beer for everyone! I love the fact that you help yourself (you don't have to sit and wait for someone to come take your drink order, the servers only take food orders) and can take all the time you need choosing any beer you'd like. Once you're done drinking for the night you just turn your empties in at the register and that's how you pay....like an honor system. The only thing somewhat negative thing I could say about this place is that it gets PACKED on the weekends! If you're not there by 8 o' clock, good luck trying to find a place to sit. You have to pretty much stand around and wait for someone to get up. There's large tables, small high top tables and even couches to sit on. That's still not enough to keep me from going back. It's totally worth it. The ambiance, the beer selection and the food make this place a "not so hidden anymore" gem!

One of my favorite spots in fort laudy. Amazing gormet hipster chic deli. The beer is expensive but they have everything you could possibly think of. The place gets crowded so go early for a good table. Unless you dont mind standing. There are no tvs which is awesome because you can actually talk to eachother. The service can be a bit slow. But the unique setting of gas station turned bar is unforgettable.

Great craft beer selection and even better pizza! The parking is awful, but the pizza and beer choices make the parking hassles well worth the effort. They have 12 coolers of craft beer, macro beers, micro brewed root beers and cane sugar sodas plus they have about 15 draft choices. Walk in, find a seat, pick your drink of choice of beverage (adult or otherwise) and order a pizza. Sit back relax and enjoy! (They hide the bottle openers in plain sight, hanging from the ceiling all over the place)

What a cool, funky, kind place to hang. To reiterate what others are saying: huge beer selection, neighborhood feel, home cooked food and all served up by a very friendly wait staff. This is the kind of place you wish was just right around the corner from your home so you could drop by on a regular night and enjoy their extensive collection of brews and down home food. This place is like Chicago meets Key West meets the Village. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood and want a homey, dive bar place to hang where you are certainly welcome and will be treated like an old pal.

When you walk into Riverside Market, I think the general question that pops into a first timers head is, "what did I just walk into?" Is it a restaurant, a bar, a corner store deli, or my friends converted garage living room? I usually have a problem with locations that have an identity crisis and doesn't have a particular theme. Luckily, the friendly girl at the register intercepted us and explained the general layout: Grab a beverage from any of the refrigerators and drink freely, if we are hungry flag one of them down and order, and just hangout, play games, and socialize. When we are done for the night they'll just ring everything up that you order. I love the trust in the honor system they have here. I think what's unique about this location is the drink selection. You can be overwhelmed by wall of beers behind the glass refrigerators. From local to imports to plenty that I have never heard of before. Safe to say there is something for everyone. After you pick your brew just pop one open with any of the low hanging bottle openers attached onto a string. I even saw a customer grab an empty six pack carton and fill up his selection with a variety of beers to take home. For food, I ordered the Rueben Special and the promo; "order the yelp's," Yelpwich - Grilled Tomatoes, Wet Mozzarella, Basil Leaves, Thinly Sliced Prosciutto, Balsamic Reduction, Pesto, on Ciabatta, pressed on the Panini press. Both sandwiches were made well and decently portioned. The "order the yelp" promotion wasn't much of a discount however, all of their other sandwiches cost $8, while the yelpwhich cost $12. So when u add the check-in discount it brings the cost back to $9. This is a great low key hangout spot for the locals of Ft. Lauderdale and is certainly a gem to those that find Riverside Market hidden in this tucked away residential neighborhood. My one complaint from this place is the the smell that resonated on to my clothes after our visit, I didn't even sit on any of their deep sofas. I still wouldn't mind coming back to this "Hangout" spot, maybe I'll even bring my dog Cody, since this establishment is dog friendly.

You must love beer apparently in order to like this place. I don't like beer so I should not have expected good food, I suppose. Met my husband here for lunch a few months back and ordered a veggie wrap which was 4 inches thick with lettuce and two strips of roasted peppers thrown in. We asked for water and they were unable to bring a glass of water with ice to the table. All of this occurred after I pulled up, walked to the door while witnessing a lady hobo with copious neck tattoos standing in front of section 8 housing shouting obscenities to the person on the other end of the line on her government issued cellular device. So much for second chances. I don't get it. By the way, my husband loves the wings.

I've been here a couple of times, and i'm never disappointed. I took a first timer this weekend and he loved it. Kevin was very nice getting us seated and filled us in on a little about the place. Cant believe its been open for 5 years and I have only known about it for 2 years! GREAT place, GREAT beer selection and great people. Very nice and friendly. Ill be back again :)

This is the first time I've ever been to such a laid back bar. It's almost like drinking at your own house! With the exception that they have dozens and dozens of craft beers available. Not to mention that it's an extremely laid back environment. You can simply grab a beer and sit on a couch. You pay once you leave simply give the waiter your empty bottles and you're good to go! I'm a huge fan of blueberry beers; this bar had 5 different blueberry beers for my picking and choosing! Overall, great place for a chill night out with some of your close friends.

This has got to be the coolest bar in Fort Lauderdale and I would even say of all Broward County! Not only do they have every beer you could ever think of (local brews on tap and over 5 fridges of common and unique beers) but their food is on point as well! When you walk in it definitely gives you a "living room" vibe and since its serve your self (at least with beers from the fridge) its easy to feel like you are hanging out at a friends house. Another factor which helps build their laid back vibe is that they have a collection of board games which anyone is welcome to play. My only precaution would be to watch how many beers you are grabbing from the fridges because you can unconsciously start to rack up a pretty high tab. Overall, this place is one of my favorite hidden gems.

Chilled out, trendy and out right cool. Vast selection of beers and I mean vast. The wine side of things are slighty different as you have to buy a bottle but you can take what you don't want with you. We ordered what turned out to be a massive delicious pizza the best I've had since being in Florida. The music fits the atmosphere and everyone is very friendly staff and regulars alike.

Great location, super nice staff, excellent drink choices. I've never experienced anything quite like it in Florida it's unique - reminds me a bit of Portland. The hummus sampler was delicious. They served a chicken philly special that was ok, I would have loved for them to have done something different like add a sauce or something to give it some oomph - it was chicken, a few peppers, mushroom and cheese on sub roll. Other than that, we will be back!

The atmosphere is amazing, truly feels like a common meeting area where people are drinking and eating. The beer is out of this world good, the variety is extensive (almost overwhelming), and the food was tasty but simple. Very homey feel to the place. I like the rustic feel and the sofa lounge area. If I could open up an establishment I would want it to be this way.

I don't know that I can adequately explain how amazing this place is. The first time we walked in, I stood in front of their massive beer selection like a kid at Willy Wonka's factory. So many options, it's almost overwhelming. We've been big fans of the beer for a while, but we just made the leap into their food selection. Did not disappoint. Huge portions, great prices, and insanely tasty food. Wash that all down with a cold beer you've never heard of and probably won't find anywhere else in a 200-mile radius and you have yourself the perfect lunch/dinner/whatever meal you choose. Awesome people, laid back, hidden from any non-adventurous tourists. I'm just thankful a place like this exists.

The riverside market is a gem tucked into a beautiful corner of fort lauderdale near riverside park. They have an enormous beer selection stored in 10 cold door fridges with options from across the nation and abroad. You can grab your drink of choice and sit down at one of their oak high-tables to enjoy your craft beer and homemade sandwich. Riverside market is a 5 star market with a 2 star price, very reasonable!!

Loved this place! Came on a Friday night to try their famous pizza and drinks. As soon as we arrived we sat ourselves and were greated by 3 people, and then an employee by the name of Justin took care of us. He seemed really nice and helpful. He gave ua suggestions on what to order and answered any questions we had. He suggested we order the hummus platter and a pizza (we decided to do half margherita and half cheese). The platter came out pretty quickly and tasted delicious! It came with 4 different kinds of hummus to try: jalapeño, red pepper, garlic, and sun dried tomato. They were all great! The pita bread was also very warm and delicious. The pizza came after and also was amazing! The crust was perfectly thin, flacky, and tasty. We also couldnt leave without trying their cookies. I tried the chocolate chip, or should I say, chocolate chunk which was very soft and yummy! Just a cool note, the place is actually a convenience store turned bar. They still have the coolers where they store all there beer and drinks where you can just pick out which ones you like and pay when you leave. The decor around the place was also fantastic! They had a bunch of things hung all over the walls and beer bottles made up the lighting fixtures...just a lot to see when you look around. Overall, amazing service, amazing food, and a great place to come out for food and drinks with a group of friends.

I'm a local who has passed this place for years and finally let my girlfriend convince me to go in with her. It is tucked away in a quiet Fort Lauderdale neighborhood amongst apartments buildings and homes along the New River. It is simply wonderful. From the laid back ambiance, decor, couches and seating to the beer filled refrigerators, it is now our favorite local haunt. The food is terrific. I've had their soups and pizzas and they are really good but more than that this is a much needed place amongst the tiki bars and chain restaurants that is a breath of fresh air. It's a place to go ha he with friends, either inside or out, and relax with no pretense. Can't say enough. Except that I should listen to my girlfriend more often :)

An eccentric & marvelous hidden jem: It's a super epic laid back place full of comfortable & unique surroundings inside! I love their "honor method", the seating choices to suit whatever your mood or needs are, such as: family room settings with couches, lazy boys, picnic tables, bar tables. There's even various games to play from two to large groups: all the while your collecting your empty bottles, try their yummy gastro experience, like their pizza or wide array of really great grub from their kitchen- it's not pricey... Just really good and plentiful!!! I'm a tour boat captain and have and still do recommended this adorable place to a many of tour groups that accompany me.

I have no idea what took me so long to get to Riverside Market. Ok not true, I do know, and it's mostly due to popularity and me imagining I wouldn't find space to sit lol....but I finally took the plunge and CANT WAIT TO COME BACK! I decided to bring my friends who were visiting here for a quick bite and drink before heading out for a night on the town. My friends were pretty apprehensive when we entered the neighborhood, and probably more so when we actually pulled up, but all left declaring this to be one of the coolest spots they've ever been to. As you probably know by now this a basically a converted convenience store, so yes, there's drink coolers on one side and tables/couches spread around the space... which feels a little cluttered, but also feels just right. There are servers if you want to place any food orders, or get beer advice, but for the most part you just head up to the coolers and get what you want. One server was also able to direct me to the sours sections and I was in heaven :) This place really is craft beer mecca (even a few items on tap) and my friends were able to try things they've never even heard of before - btw none of us were crazy about the root-beer beer. We split the hummus platter which was huge, and the perfect snack for all of us. When you're finally done relaxing you gather your empty bottles (or cans) and head up to the cashier to pay. Such a unique spot, and I can't think of anywhere that really compares!

Riverside Market is awesome. A good friend brought me here one night a few months ago and I've been a regular since. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood (which can be a bit confusing to navigate around), but it has an awesome atmosphere and is incredibly laid back. The inside of the place doesn't quite match the outside; once you walk in you will see about 10 coolers lining the wall to your left. There are A LOT of beers to choose from, so it's great for both the beer connoisseur and the amateur who's looking to find their taste. I've vowed to try a different beer every time I come in here, because if they're available to me - why not? After selecting a beer from the cooler, you can sit down and play a board game or split a pizza. You don't pay for anything until you're ready to leave, so hold onto all of your bottles so you can check out. If you're intimidated by the overwhelming amount of beers to choose from, the employees are extremely friendly and eager to help pick out a beer that's perfect for you. I've been here on both weekdays and weekends; it tends to be pretty busy on weekend nights and early on weekdays (between 6 and 9 pm). I've not explored much from their food menu, but from what I have tasted (mozzarella sticks, pizza, and key lime pie in a mason jar), it seems their food is up to par. This is a great local place for anyone to visit, either regularly or once if you're just stopping by the are.

Good food, beer, reasonable prices, and great staff. My wife and I have been coming here every once in a while and just noticed I never wrote a review for the place. We actually came here for breakfast the other day and had a delightful sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant. Coffee was great as well! I've had their fish tacos and they were fantastic. I've also had their Reuben and it was pretty good as well. Overall it's a great casual place to lounge around while having good food and beer.

My feelings after yesterday's meal at Riverside Market - if you're not a local or regular, don't bother. Sure it's got all kinds of beers, but the main reason we came was because supposedly the food was good. Maybe I'm in the minority, but if you offer waiter service, then I'm definitely going to factor that into my overall experience. Given we ordered two main entrees that require little to no cooking (Italian Combo sandwich) and the Pulled Pork Sandwich, the amount of time we spent waiting was pretty ridiculous. A few things that I couldn't wrap my head around: - 6 people at one time were in the kitchen, yet no food coming out. Seemed like there was more a social gathering in the back than actual cooking. - Why our "appetizer" came out the same time as our main entrees. Truth be told, the service took so long I actually forgot we even ordered an appetizer. - Also, said appetizer (Jumbo Mozzarella) made me think of something else...maybe a nice block of fried mozzarella, but instead it was simply mozzarella sticks. Okay...why not just say that on the menu? The food itself was okay, nothing impressive. My italian combo sandwich was fresh, but dare I say a Publix sub would have been better? The pulled pork sandwich seemed to be the saving grace of the meal. It seems they get a lot of to-go/delivery orders, and my guess would be that this is what ends up getting in the way of inside diners getting their food in a reasonable time. A few friends are regulars here and told me the owner never intended it to be a restaurant...I can almost see why. If they could work on kitchen logistics, then it may be worth a revisit. But if beers are your thing then this is right up your alley.

This bar reminds me of the dives I used to go to as a college student. Everything in here is pretty much self-service drink wise and the selection is quite large. This is my kind of place because you don't have to dress up. It's quite laid back. Get there early though if you want to find a seat. My only knock is the guys up front when you check out or have a question. Not the friendliest. This bar is known for all of its different kinds of craft beers, but no Palmetto Pale Ale. I asked about it and all I got was a no instead of an explanation or perhaps writing it down for future reference. This is a fine, American made beer from South Carolina that is worthy of placement here and should be looked into.

This is my new favorite place. Sandwiches, soup, breakfast all day, craft beer in bottle and on tap, snack foods and non-HFCS soda all in a laid back place? Impossible you say? Nay, it is all here for you to savor! The only things that aren't self serve are the draught beer and the fresh food on the menu. If you're as lucky as we are (you probably are), Chris will be the friendly face who helps you out. Everyone else that works there is pretty awesome too. :D

Stopped here for a quick bite before heading to the airport. Anna waited on us and she was welcoming, informative and friendly. She explained about all the beers and made herself available for questions. Service was very quick. I ordered a pastrami panini with provolone cheese and my bf got the north fork. Both were amazing! I'm glad Yelp guided me to yet another great place!

This has been on my "wish list" for sometime and recently it lined up so I could check it off. What a cool place.....being a beer guy this is a must stop. The interior is eclectic and welcoming. We were greeted and given the explanation on selecting beer. Decided to bypass the comfy sofas and roosted at a high top. I went for the Philly Chicken, great bread piled high with chicken breast and cheeses....... My dining partner ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza, it tasted homemade, chunks of chicken, red onion on a bed of a BBQ sauce with s kick. $26.00 lunch and beer

If you live in Broward County don't miss this place-terrific vibe & EXCELLENT food! Try the egg salad-my husband loves egg salad & this was 100 percent perfectly yummy!

Most unique beer spot I've ever been too. A former convenience store turned beer joint. It's hard to find so definitely enable GPS as It's in a residential area. They have giant fridge cases full of bottles of unique beers with bottle openers dangling like fruit from the ceiling you just pop open and enjoy. They have eclectic seating of couches and giant oversized chairs as well as high tops. They also have a boat load of board games to enjoy whilst you sip. To pay you just bring your empties up to the counter and they ring you up. They also have a few drafts behind the counter as well. They do serve food which I haven't tried, everything smelled and looked great though. A must go in the ft laudy area.

Very cool place to just sit and chill. Just wish the beer in the coolers was colder but hey it was still a good time.

I'm a fan. I just wished I lived a little closer to the location. It would make for a great stop on bike ride. The beer selection is huge and top notch and the food is good too. Yes, the service on the food sometimes takes a while, but you shouldn't come here if you're in a hurry. Just relax, take a seat outside in front or on one of their comfy couches. If you 'Like' them on Facebook, you'll be kept up to date on the latest happenings at the Riverside Market. They are often putting on events, fundraisers for local non-profits. Who likes to drink for a cause?!

The best non-Florida atmosphere in all of Florida. Amazing beer selection and great thin crust pizza!

This place is great. Delicious food, cheerful, helpful staff and fun vibe. The couches give it a calm, laid back feel and it's unique location nestled into a neighborhood makes you want to move next door. Of course, the beer selection is incredible. Go if you're able and stay of you can!

What's the old adage about first impressions? Let's say I was less than impressed. Simply looking for a good sandwich and I didn't find it this day. First time here and I was intrigued by the randomness of the decor. Staff was friendly and the customers seemed to be regulars and enjoying themselves. I ordered a basic turkey club off the menu. I decided to grab a chair while my sandwich was being made. After 20 minutes I began getting restless and questioning my decision to try the place. Finally my sandwich was brought out and I left and went back to work. The first bite was the ultimate let down and my quest for a good sandwich continues.....maybe next time I'll try the other place across the street......

Very hip, local hangout. They stock hundreds of craft beers by the bottlle... And the joint works on the honor system... Drink your beer, and on your way out, bring your empties to the bar to pay.

Price gougers. Selection is mediocre too. Head across the street to craft beer cartel. Fair prices and good people there.

Riverside has become my favorite place in Fort Lauderdale. The beer choices are second to none and the atmosphere is very laid back and casual. It has a very Southern college town atmosphere. You expect to walk outside and see a dirt road and pick-up trucks.... well, you do see a few pick-up trucks. The staffers are very friendly and helpful. The food is good also. I just recently moved to South Florida from Alabama and Riverside has become a staple.

The pizza here is so good! It is incredibly thin and crispy! Seriously order more then one pie! Love the endless options of beer that hey have their and how you get to just go get it on your own. Great place, hidden in a neighborhood setting but I think that's what makes it even better!

I love this neighborhood bar/restaurant. Grab a seat, serve yourself from the beer (amazing selection of craft), just keep your bottles and pay at the end. They also have drafts and wine. I ordered the food special that was a cheddar biscuit sandwich and it was amazing! Can't wait to come back and try some other types of food and beer. Relaxed atmosphere and fun for everyone.

If you're a beer drinker, you will be flabbergasted at the selection available, it lines all of the walls. There is also I nice healthy menu available late. My only complaint is how busy it was, so busy that you are constantly running into people and can't really get around to see all the beers. If I drank, I definitely would have been aggravated. However, I can't let that cloud my review, because really, this is a neat place. I'd like to come back when they aren't so busy to order something to eat. Do note that this place is pretty hard to find, and if you are drinking, good luck getting back out to Davie LOL

I really enjoy this place, my friend and I went on a Thursday and it was pretty packed, we wanted to order food so wanted a table and had to stalk one since there is no formal table waiting. I can't imagine what it's like on the weekends, but the wait is worth it. Surprisingly good food, we got the hummus plate, a pizza, a caprese sandwich, and an order of fries. Yummmm! All of it tasted fresh and delicious. I love that I don't have to wait for someone to get a beer, I just peruse the coolers for what I want and get to enjoy immediately. We got four beers, and all of the food, came to $60, which seemed very fair. Bottom line: go a little early if you want food, stay a little longer and enjoy the various beers and atmosphere

AWFUL first experience, which is a total shame because we really wanted to like this place. Cool little spot in the very quiet and key westy Riverside area. HUGE beer selection which makes them a go-to for any beer enthusiast but the food is whole different story. We orders a frittata and roast beef sandwich and mind you the place was dead. It somehow took them 45 minutes to bring the sandwich out (which is serisouly bland and non appetizing) and we still had to wait to get the frittata. No one checked on us and it needless to say, it left a bad taste in our mouth. Id go back again to try and score some new beers but I wouldn't bother with the food. Side note, they did comp us on the frittata which was a nice gesture.

This place is freaking awesome! Riverside Market to me is like Disneyworld for the kiddos. Coming from California (Bay Area), we don't have mom and pop shops like this. The service was great. The selection of beer was jaw dropping. It's a shame I was in a hurry to take off to Miami. If I ever hit Ft Lauderdale again, this will be a spot I will spend some time on.

Perfect for beer lovers! The beer selection is amazing, and being able to go up and grab your own beer as you please is awesome. I really respect them for going with the honor system. The atmosphere is very relaxed and I love taking out of town guests here for good beer and good food. Speaking of good food... the BBQ chicken pizza is downright amazing and is a must try. It can definitely get busy on the weekends, so be prepared.

Been here a bunch of times, always a good choice for some good beer and food. The food part is a bit surprising, very good and not what you expect from a place like this. We've had the Pastrami and it rivals any Deli I've been too, the omelets take a long time to make from order (about 45min) but that's b/c their baked and will pry be the best omelet you've ever had. Friends had the fish tacos and loved them. The pizzas are great too, highly recommend the margarita and bbq chicken pies. Have your gps ready as the 1st time or two you come here it's a bit confusing as it's hidden inside a community. Parking is tight but you can park along the road and walk over to the store. The whole premise is cool, an old convenience store turned into a beer mecca. Just pick your bottle (or draft), grab an opener hanging from the ceiling, pop the cap and relax. The decor is cool too and the staff are friendly. Prices are fairly reasonable, actually quite good for being in Lauderdale.

Talk about a great beer selection! WOW, they have everything you have ever desired and more. Upon my first visit I scanned the many coolers of beer and settled on a Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier (oldest brewery in the world, or at least they claim) which was a great choice to compliment my delicious tuna melt. The tuna melt was awesome, it was melted with provolone vs american or cheddar cheese like most places. The environment is pretty cool its like a clubhouse/ dive bar but a little cooler. I'd recommend this place to grab lunch and a beer or to visit with a few friends to hand out and try some awesome brews.

Great little neighborhood hideout, tucked away in old town Fort Lauderdale - they have to have the best bottled beer sampling in town - a few couches & comfy chairs set this place aside.... Great place to stop by fire a quick brew & snack or to meet with a few friends to discuss life comfortably

There is More beer than people! I particularly love Belgians and stouts. They had great options, even international beers. Even local beers from Michigan. The food: recommend the fish tacos. Pizza is ok. BBQ chicken pizza is a little too sweet. The ambience: wonderful! Eclectically decorated. Plenty of tables and comfy sofas to sit on. The servers are top notch. It's a nice look nook of the neighborhood. Great for: hanging out for hours with your friends and trying out all different favors of beers :)

Riverfront is an abomination cant believe i've ended up in that dump soo many times when this is right up the way, living all wrong Love the "drink like a local" taps that they had, Big Rod coconut needs to be bottled up astat! They need to give up their connect for those Spicy Dill pickle chips bottled brews arent that pricey ($12 for a large rogue), seen much worse selection is great but not total wine great

Maybe just not my cup of tea. I don't know... Went here on Saturday afternoon hoping for a cute date night with the bf. When we pulled up, I for sure thought we were in the wrong place, as there were three questionable gentlemen across the street drinking and cussing at each other. No problem, I thought to myself, maybe it's wonderful inside. We sat on a comfy couch and told the waiter we were starving. Ordered the jalapeño hummus for a starter and the BBQ chicken pizza. We waited half hour and both came out at the same time, which sort of defeated the purpose of getting hummus as a starter. We ate mostly everything but frankly none of it was yummy enough to wow me and make the visit worthwhile. I was even more surprised when our food was $22 and the four beers we ordered which were all lukewarm on tap were $45. Not sure what was in the beer but I was expecting orgasms after drinking it for that much money. At any rate, definitely not going back. Will say that their beer selection is great and our waiter was a sweetheart. Maybe the beers that are bottled are cooler. For $67 I'll make my own pizza at home and drink extra cold beers from a 12 pack on my very own couch. The end.

My favorite spot. Chill living room like bar and food spot, works by the trust system- crack a craft beer, grab a pizza and ring everything up at the end. Loaded with interesting books and fun games Riverside is a hidden gem and I prefer it to the downtown Ft Lauderdale scene any day. They are dog friendly which us always great! I highly recommend the margarita pizza or the caprese sandwhich!

Great hidden find! This place is very chill and relaxing atmosphere. The beer selection is awesome. I love the system of getting the beers too. They have beer fridges where you can see all the selections and you grab what you want. When you are leave you bring the bottles up to the cashier and pay for what you have drank. They also have a few draft beers on tap. We have also had some of their food selections including a bbq pizza and an egg sandwich (we came around noon).

The Riverside Market is one of those authentic neighborhood establishments with charm and character. In addition, they have one of the largest craft beer selections in town. Their food is also authentic and well prepared. I highly recommend the delicious fish tacos with a side of jalapeño poppers! This place is a great hangout location for friends!

Home away from home. I love the beer, food, and everyone who works there. The pita bread and hummus is my jam. Sure the service may be slow sometimes but that's only because chances are the place is PACKED and the servers are doing the most they can. If you plan on coming with a group, call ahead and they'll reserve space for you. Love this place!!

Looooove love love. Mostly for beer lovers but if you aren't you might convert after visiting. A cooler spanning an entire wall with every kind of beer imaginable. Just grab one, open it with one of the bottle openers hanging from the ceiling, and take it over to one of the tables or couches to enjoy your delicious beverage. Just make sure you keep the bottle to check out and pay for it at the end. There's also board games you can play with friends or strangers to have a good time. Music is always great too. It's a chill, young spot that makes you feel like you're in someone's really cool living room. The pizza is also amazing, and so are the mason jar pies. Great place. One of my faves.

  • Brady Y.

The best beer place I've found in South Florida. Great atmosphere. Very casual with beer signs all over the place and various board games. They have a large selection of bottles and several taps. The food is mostly good but the pepperoni pizza my friends got was way too greasy. I've heard others say the bbq pizza is good though. Oh well, I really like the egg dishes and sandwiches. Service is fine but the kitchen can take a while when they're busy. Whatever, people come here for the beer and to hang out and play games. Food is secondary. The place gets too crowded on the weekend nights for me. Very hard to park and find a seat. All in all a great place though. Better than anywhere in Miami so I drive up somewhat often. My only real complaint is that they don't label prices on bottles. I got burned before with an unexpectedly expensive beer that was actually recommended by the cashier so that sucked. Now I am scared to try new bombers because I don't want that kind of surprise again. I still highly recommend this place for a date or fun night with friends.

I finally got to try this place after many months of my wife wanting me to go! The ambiance is very cool and reminded me of some cool little dives that we used to go to in Texas. Kinda like walking into an old Gas station. This place is definitely for those that have been there before because when we walked in we weren't quite sure what to do, i.e. should we sit down or wait to be seated and when seated should we wait to order or help ourselves. We found that it is very much one of those help yourselves types of places. In fact as soon as you walk in I suggest walking straight to the Beer coolers and grabbing one! I found my new favorite Beer here! Lost Coast Tangerine Beer! The neat thing about this place is that there is hundreds of Beers to try. The food selection is small but what they do have is good.

Love the reaction of my friends who when we were circling the area to look for this spot, they asked, are you sure you want to get out? Seemed like a very quiet neighborhood when driving around and you would not expect to find a bar or watering hole hidden in this area. But when we walked in and sat down, the vibe, the decor, and everything about this place just felt awesome. Riverside Market is definitely a hidden gem, something you would definitely not expect. My initial reaction was that this dive-y place brought me back to the North Park area in San Diego, except this was way too hidden away from any major streets or businesses. Has a few couches, coffee tables, and a few bar tables and chairs - not good for crowds, but just the spot where you can meet up with friends, have a drink or two, and eat while catching up. Many of my friends would definitely appreciate coming here to this gastropub - which is why they need something like this in LA (or maybe I haven't found one yet). #1 - Had their fried battered Mahi Soft Tacos - absolutely fantastic! (see my picture) My friends had pizza and they said they were amazing. I'm not a drinker, but they have 550 Beer selections to choose from for all you beer lovers! And plenty of flavored sodas too. Just wall-to-wall drinks imported from all over the USA and more. No kidding. NOTE: Quite the novel idea of picking and getting your own drink, and then bringing all the bottles to the counter to pay for your bill. For any out-of-towners looking to go to where the locals are at, this is definitely one of those places. You won't be disappointed. Kudos to the manager.

One of Fort Lauderdale best kept secrets! It maybe in the middle of nowhere but so worth the mission. Lots of beers to choose from and don't even get me started of the food. Get any pizza because it's pure yummy! Did I mention the awesome sofas? And yes, they recline! This place is the best because it really does force you to communicate. No TVs so use those lovely mouths and talk away. Downside is the parking but I would suggest to park by the park and finding a seat during the weekend evenings. Overall, I heart this place!

Do you want a good selection of beers? But do you also want good food to go with that beer? Well unfortunately this place makes you choose between the two of them. I came here for lunch and it wasn't anything special. The service was mediocre and the food was even more so. You decide.

Riverside Market is like a mini Total Wine store trapped in some fisherman dude's living room. From the moment I opened the door, I was hooked (no pun intended). The chill, welcoming weekend vibe hits you as soon as you walk in and you quickly forget about your bad case of the Mondays when you see the wall of cold beer that awaits you. A bubbly waitress greeted my group who showed up about 12:30 p.m. for lunch. She explained that you just walk up to the coolers, grab a beer from the vast selection and have at it. Meanwhile, she hands us menus with items that make our mouth water. Once again (being a Libra) the indecisiveness takes over and I do not know what to get. There's an array of sandwiches, soups and salads that all sound amazing. I opt for the French onion soup du jour and a tuna salad. My friends get a turkey club wrap and some kind of chicken cheesesteak sub. After we place our order, we attack the beer cooler as if it was Happy Hour on a Friday night. Do I have the Lagunitas Pils or the Mango Beer from the Caribbean (name escapes me)? Do I go with a good old standby Double Dead Guy, Hazed and Infused or White Rascal? Oh boy. I can get in trouble in this place. The Lagunitas Pils wins me over and I look around the room frantic for a bottle opener. Duh, they are hanging from the ceiling along with the 16 foot stuffed marlin fish (or maybe it's a Tarpon?) and the crazy broken wine bottle lamps. Before I know it, my French onion arrives. It's not the best I've had. I've eaten French onion soup all over France, so I'll cut them some slack. It was very basic with white bread floating in an oniony broth instead of a beloved day-old crusty baguette. I also ordered the Tuna salad which was huge! It sported a generous helping of tasty tuna salad, egg, mixed greens, tomato - all the typical things you see on a salad (vinaigrette on the side). I had to ask for a to-go box and bring it back to the office to eat later. As I sat and chatted with my friends, I looked around and people were just eating and chilling, some sitting on the couches surfing the internet on the free wifi. I loved Riverside Market and will be adding them to my lunch and happy hour rotation. I'll be back to try more beer very soon!

This place is beyond chill. Nice servers, fantastic choice of craft beer, and a relaxing atmosphere what more could you want. It's also tucked away in a neighborhood, which adds to the laid back vibe this place has. The food is good too!

Fort Lauderdale is lucky to have Riverside Market! There is no place like this. It's always comfortable, you almost feel as if you're at your buddy's house kicking back and drinking beers. You can see every type of person there. Riverside is so diverse, everyone's feels at home. My favorite thing about Riverside is that their staff always seems genuinely happy to be working there. Nowadays that's hard to come by. All of their employees are friendly and always in good moods!

This is by far my favorite beer place in Ft. Larderdale. The selection is amazing and I can find beers there that I sometimes can't even get at total wine. The atmosphere is great in theory. There are couches with board games and they have kept the convenience store style refrigerators completely stocked with beer and when you want one, you just go grab one and open it with one of the many bottle openers hanging from the ceiling. They only problem is that this place is gaining in popularity (probably thanks to assholes like me spreading the word) and this makes it harder to find a seat unless you get there fairly early. But if you can get a seat expect to have one of the best, most unique bar experiences of your life. Not to mention some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. And that is not a compliment I give lightly.

This seriously is one of the best beer bars in the entire country (good job Thrillist)! Was visiting some friends nearby and as soon as I found out about this place, I made it my mission to go here. They had already been multiple times and insisted we go there our first night in town. This place is great and has such a huge selection, that a beer connoisseur and IPA fanatic like myself can easily feel like a kid in a candy store. I wanted to try some local brews I knew wouldn't be available back home, and had 2 pints of the Cigar City Jai Alai and Due South Category 4 IPA's and both were delicious. They even have a good selection of hard ciders that my girlfriend who hates beer enjoyed (she had the ace apple honey hard cider and woodchuck pumpkin). It's a great place to hang out with friends, order some food, and just unwind and have a good time. We didn't order any food, but it looked really good. I wish there was a place like this in New York City. They have beer games and themed nights, along with other festivities. i would highly recommend coming here if you're in Fort Lauderdale, or anywhere nearby in South Florida!

What a really cool place! We ordered sandwiches to take to the beach, & we totally loved this place. Great selection of food & beer. Everyone was really nice, very friendly & funny. The Caprese sandwich was delicious, & my friend (who is from NJ) said that it was, "the best Italian sandwich" she's had outside of the tristate. (High praise, as she has high standards.) The next time we're back in FL, we'll be sure to come back!

Like WOW! What a great place to hang and to have leisurely chill out. It's a weirdo combination of part old time hippie, part casual semi run down country restaurant with one the best, if not the very best, most varied beer and ale selections to be found. If there ever is such a thing as Fort Lauderdale "cool awesome" this is it. Great little chairs out front to sit on and enjoy the day. Super casual with nothing at all plush about the place, but it clearly wasn't meant to be classy or plush. For the most part its total neighborhood, located in what is admittedly not the best of hoods, but taking a big turn for the better with Riverside Market obviously playing the major part in improvement of this neighborhood environment. My Five Stars is basically based upon the fact that for what it is and what it is meant to be, it's one of the best; not being an overall super star, particularly with regards to their food which isn't very good and would otherwise render the place a Two Star.

Horrible and rude service. I'm surprise they have such high rating and reviews. Huge selection for beer and wine but I wouldn't recommend having lunch here. They burnt our pizza and the sandwiches were super sloppy. Everything just fell apart. the servers are incompetent of counting... Super disappointed. No a/c either must have done that so people can drink more beer. Never coming back or would recommend this place.

Order the Yelp sandwich was good. The Italian sandwich was great! The OTY was warm, toasty and had well blended flavor...just a very mild flavor. The Italian sandwich was very meaty (more meat than Subway puts in theirs) and rivaled the Laspada Italian hoagie in flavor and meat content. Also, the bread was very fresh and soft. The four stars above are for the Italian sandwich. The OTY gets three stars from me.

This place is amazeballs!! Very different then the normal watering hole.... feels much more like you're having friends over for a beer! SOOOOOO many craft beers and the staff knows what they are talking about.... Not to mention the owner Julian walking around greeting everyone and talking this and that. I just love this place!!

There should be markets like this all over the place. This was at the top of my Must Try list for my Fort Lauderdale vacation. I will say, it wasn't difficult to find (others seem to say it is but with iphone/yelp, no problem). I love beer. Let's get that outta the way. I was bowled over by the selection. The guys hanging out there (employees? distributors) were great in making suggestions (example: me: I want a summer beer, fella: one that tastes like a summer beer or a beer beer? me: beer beer!) He gave me a great suggestion of Victory's Summer Love. It DID taste like beer beer....hoppy and delicious. I adored the casual vibe of this place. When we walked in there were some (I'd say) hipsters hanging out with that "oh, YOU found this place" vibe but they didn't stay long. We mingled with some super preppy older folks (dressed up! I wondered how they found the place....apparently they're regulars) and everyone was pretty cool. We ordered the fish tacos (tasty but the fish was overcooked) ad the BBQ chicken pizza which we loved. We talked about it for the rest of our vacation. Special thanks to the guy who rang me up and who told me what kind of BBQ sauce they use on the pizza (Sweet Baby Ray's). If I could clone this joint and bring it to my CT town I'd do it in a heartbeat. Riverside Market, you are amazing.

Cool local joint in Fort Lauderdale with a great beer selection. They have a bunch of couches inside and an "honor system" code. It's the type of service where you can choose your beers from the wall of coolers and pay at the end. This place has a super casual and chill atmosphere; very non-pretentious local vibe. Don't expect a Michelin chef. The food wasn't bad and a step above bar food.

The place is hidden away in a neighborhood and doesn't look like much from the outside but let be one to remind you that looks are very deceiving. The food is fresh and tastes great. There is any type of beer you can think of which is great. This restaurant is set apart from the competition because there is no formality it's just the same as hanging out at your home. Get up and grab a beer when your ready and sit at the couch while playing an assortment of board games. There are books there as well if you want to read something besides your phone. You are missing out if you do not visit this place at least once in your lifetime.

This place reminds me of a hang out spot for hipsters with mustaches in Brooklyn. You walk in, find seating if available, order food if you like, grab a beer from their HUGE selection and chill with your buddies. We ordered a pizza and some Thai wings, which were both delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. A real hidden gem.

This bar is awesome! My favorite bar to visit while in Florida. Great beer selection and atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The pizza is really good. My kind of place in every which way.

We love this place! Tucked back in a quiet area, river side market is a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the service is great! The servers are friendly, and very helpful when I'm stuck deciding on what to eat. The myriad of choices for beverages is also fantastic! I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Beer heaven, and to go with it: some great grub. I came here and I was overwhelmed by the selections of beer, wine, snacks, sodas, and everything under the Florida sun. And to make it even better, the prices are not that bad. I ordered the Caprese Croissant Sandwich and it was perfect, light and fresh. My boyfriend ordered the Pastrami on Rye and was very happy with it as well. My beer selection for this lovely lunch, was Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, one of my favorite beers. And Jonathan got a Hoegarden, one of his favorite. My beer was $4 and his was $3. My small sandwich was $7 and his was $8. So it added up to about $11 per person. And I couldn't even finish my sandwich so I had leftovers. I so can't wait to come back and see more of their beer selections and try more sandwich and snacks.

This place was fucking awesome, just don't eat the food. It was raining that day and the rain was dripping into the kitchen - no joke! But I did love the atmosphere, the location, & they played great music. The beer selection was on point & better than anything I have ever seen. I must go to for true locals.

This super quaint, hard-to-find lunch spot boasts no shortage of craft beer and upper crust deli eats. Driving around the surrounding neighborhood, my eyes moved past bungalows in search of what I read to be a beer-lover's ultimate convenience store. But surely there was no sign of commercial establishments in the area. Then around the last bend, I saw it. Hang a left (if you're coming from my direction) and tred the white gravel for your free parking. If you're a beer connoisseur, the double doors at Riverside are likely to resemble your potential arrival at the golden gates. Over to the left, refrigerated bottles welcome you for miles. Grab and go or grab and stay. If you do stay, mind the bottle openers hanging conveniently overhead. For grub, I enjoyed the white chicken breast salad atop lettuce. Easy, nicely done, and not overly mayoy. Those traveling with a heavier appetite can enjoy heartier sandwiches, pizzas, wraps and more. Make the trip if your a beer fan, do the same even if you're not.

You don't find this place by accident. Siri keep telling me to turn left into driveways. Had orange blossom Pilsner, most excellent on a hot day. Ordered a Reuben. Back in few minutes, no sauerkraut, ordered a caprese, wait..., and wait..... Finally showed up. It was pretty good, freshly made, spicy. Beer selection is what makes the place, probably not the best for lunch if you are heading back out into the sun. Very reasonable prices, would come back if I was a local. Nice folks serving, attentive but not omnipresent.

Where do I begin... I live in Tampa but luckily my girlfriend lives down here. Ever since my first visit two weeks ago I have fallen in love with the relaxed atmosphere and great beer selection. Now, the riverside market is a place I will visit every time I am in town. Last time we got a pizza and tonight is hummus and chips and possibly a sandwich. The pizza was delicious last time and Kevin is always very helpful with beer or food suggestions. If you are in the area definitely check this place out!

I don't know what to think of this place... On the outside it looks pretty much like a piece of shit. On the inside it's cleaned up, high wooden tables and even furniture abound to sit on. It's well kept and tidy. There's a counter at the door and one back next to the kitchen. The wall to your immediate left is an assortment of coolers with almost any beer you can think of. That being said, it was obviously more appealing once you've entered the establishment and sat down, which is exactly what my party and I did at one of the high wooden tables. Twenty minutes passed and no one had even greeted us. The party sitting on the couches and chairs next to us finished their meal and got up. Then they began packing the shelves. Another person down the table across from us finished their meal, then walked back to the kitchen. Ten more minutes passed and we had yet to be offered drinks or even be greeted... It seems like the entire place was full of employees. They'd eat, then they'd clean up, then start stocking shelves. What. The. Fuck. The waitress (the only waitress) finally got to us and told us you get your own drinks, open them, and return to your seats as she takes our food order. We ordered fries, fried mozzarella, and a BBQ chicken pizza. The fried mozzarella arrived first about 15 minutes after we ordered. They were room temperature and not very tasty either. The fries and pizza arrived around another 15 minutes after the cheese sticks. The fries were soggy and thin, not really what I prefer, but the pizza was delectable and of high quality. The pizza itself was four stars, everything else was three, but the entire experience has to be some of the most confusing, bewildering bullshit I've ever gone through to order a pizza. If Riverside Market was a person, I'd punch him in the face.

As others have said, this place is in a residential neighborhood...it's just diagonal from Bayside Market (a convenience store which you may mistake it for). If you don't grab the parking spaces in front of the store, you'll have to park in the side, which can be a pain getting out. Once you step inside you have a variety of tables with stools and couches to sit on. It's an honor system, you seat yourself and grab your own beer. Yes there's food too but I won't comment because I didn't have. A gripe I have is one of the tables is too close to the coolers...so you sort of have to squeeze in and excuse yourself to get a beer. Another is that aside from what's on tap, there's no pricing until you go ahead and pay for your drinks. Otherwise, it's cozy, great after a day at work, and oh, you can buy your own six packs.

  • Erin S.

Relaxed spot to grab a deli-style meal and try a few new brews. We were greeted immediately and got the explanation that beer is on the honor system. Grab what you want and save the bottles for checkout. We ordered two entrees: one crab and shrimp salad and one chicken salad sub. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. The salad was good, but without warning (not described on the menu) there was cilantro in the salad. That is a herb that you either love or hate and I happen to hate it. If you are going to throw in a zinger Riverside at least announce it on the menu so I can order without. The sandwich was fine, but the sweet potato fries were really burned. The server brought them out and said he could drop a new batch if I wanted. Not really sure why they didn't just drop a new batch that wasn't black and avoid the weirdness? That, and the offending herb situation described above, dropped me down to 4 stars. The beer selection is great and we got to try a few new things. They also have a good selection of Florida beers which is fun for out-of-towners.

Riverside Market is a high bread of a pizzeria, a bar, restaurant and neighborhood hangout with couches and wifi.. it is in a pocket neighborhood between Davie and Broward Avenues in Ft. Lauderdale. good luck finding this charming spot w/o GPS. they serve sandwiches, subs, salads, pizza, omelets, beer of a hundred(s) varieties, sweet potato fries, fish taco etc. i had the Yelp special and it was very good. my daughter and wife had the vegetarian, which could have been better. the ambiance prices, and laid back atmosphere could not be beat. a caveat is when it is crowed their kitchen can back up. they have their own parking.

Very relaxed place to kick back and grab a few beers. Love their couches and beer lights decor. Tried 3 new beers and I loved them. My favorite was the Young's Double Chocolate stout beer. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The epitome of what I call sketch...and I love it. This is place is totally unique in Fort Lauderdale. You drivie through a quiet neighborhood, to a converted convenience store. The bottle openers hang from string from the ceiling. Drink first, pay after. They have an excellent beer and cider selection. Craft brews from all over the state and even some from my home state of California. They don't have a ton of gluten free options for food, but there is definitely enough deliciousness (caprese, hummus dips) for you to snack on while you sip. My friends LOVE the pizza and sandwiches. Such a chill vibe with high top and couch seating. The staff are chill and hilarious. I love coming here with a group of friends to just relax and catch up. Has that hipster vibe I crave in south florida.

I love this place. Love all the beer choices, laid back atmosphere and cool seating. To top it all off, I loved the food. Husband got the BBQ pizza, I got the special mojo pork tacos. Both were right up our ally and bursting with flavor! Definitely will be back soon...wish we lived closer.

BELIEVE THE HYPE. Yes, it's hard to find. Yes, it's in the middle of a random neighborhood. Yes, parking is awful. Yes, it can be hard to find a table. Yes, it is worth it. I don't want to rehash everyone else's reviews, so I'll hit my main points. The pizza is great. Like, really, really, great. Like, you could come here just for the pizza it's so great. But then there's all the beer. You drink it, you buy it. Beware, the bigger bottles run about $15, but regular bottles are around $4. If you have one of those nights where you don't know where to go, come here. You won't be disappointed.

Unique style, laid back feel, great vibes and super staff. Easiest 5 stars ever. It's a little tough to find, so make sure you're paying attention when Siri tells you where to go. Food is pretty solid too. A MUST try for Fort Lauderdale natives!

You walk in to a little shack off the beaten path--at first you hesitate, because you wonder if you are safe. But then, you step inside... You are SURROUNDED by beer. There is beer on nearly every surface. And it isn't just Coors and the like. This is all craft beer. They have a few shelves just devoted to local brew--and more than a few of our favorite beers from Europe. Not just the popular stuff either, they've got Paulaner and Weihenstephan! We ordered huge dripping sandwiches and a hummus platter from the kitchen. The tortilla chips were home-made. Fresh. They were still oily when they were dropped in front of us. Go and enjoy a brew and damn fine Reuben. Best wishes for your business!

I have been a customer of the Riverside Market since it opened. I live in a nearby neighborhood so for me this is my "local". Obviously if you like beer this place is heaven but the reason I love it is because it's the center of the neighborhood and the people you see eating here (and the food is great, really, really good, breakfast, lunch, dinner or even just for a snack or a bowl of soup) are every type of people from the area - parents with kids, people with dogs, older couples, hipsters, this place is a comfort spot for all. Literally - between the sofas and the tables and the big arm chairs there's not a spot anywhere you couldn't wait easily out a long rainy afternoon. Free wi-fi and a dark decor that feels like "up north" it's pretty darned cozy, even when it's filled with people. Riverside Market - for me this place is comfort food for the soul....

Riverside Market gets an A+ from me based on the concept alone. This place is so chill, it feels like your hanging at home with some good eats, damn good craft beers and a room full of good friends (only they're strangers). This neighboorhood eatery (literally smack in the middle of a neighborhood) almost looks like a convenience store when approaching it from the outside. The front area is lined with adirondack chairs and people hanging with their pups chatting, eating, chilling...whatevs. The inside is buzzing and the no frills, self service style makes for a very relaxed, fun time. Now dont get me wrong it's mostly self service but the staff is very helpful with giving you the rundown on the wall full of beer coolers (over 200 to choose from), popping open your beer (although you can do so on your own with the bottle openers designed to look like brass knuckles that hang over each table from fishing wire) efficiently serving your food & bussing the tables. I love the couch set up they have goin on in here as well. Last night was my second visit here along with some friends. We ordered a margherita pizza (b/c we've had it before and its a winner) and walked over to the coolers to choose some beers. I picked a Swamp Head Brewery Beer - I'm still trying to figure out if that was a good idea or not...although I only needed one beer to catch a buzz...ok scratch that - it was totes a good idea ;) We lucked out and scored a table way to big for the three of us on our way back from the coolers and a party of 4 asked if they could join us...of course we said sure! They had ordered a Rueben pizza and a meat pizza and we all ended up sharing and shootin the s*** and their super cute pup sat beside us on a chair next to our table. Fun times. WARNING: This place automatically puts you in a good mood. Even the hipsters that hang here are nice. whoa.

What's to say that has not already been said. This place is awesome, a mini Disneyland for craft beer lovers. A laid back kinda grunge chill out atmosphere you would expect to find in like Portland, Dude. As for the stuff that's already been said? I'm gonna say it again. First, just getting is a bit of an adventure. I felt that a wrong turn might lead me to impending doom.. Okay maybe not that bad but there definitely was bit of "Hmm you sure were going the right way?" thoughts on the short drive in. Once I arrived and saw the store front my apprehensions were not relieved any. From the street this place looks like a rundown quickie mart with a few tables and chairs out front. There is not much room parking either just a few spots in front and a very narrow dirt lot beside the building. But everything changed as soon as I walked through the door. I must of had that kid in a candy store look on my face because the guy behind the counter saw me and asked " First time here?" I said yes of course and he then explained how things work here. At the counter you can order drafts, to the left was a wall of refrigerated bottled craft beers. Drinking and dining were all done on kind of an honor system. When you finish take your empties to the register and tell him what you had. Love this and glad to see its working for them. As for the decor, lets just say its comfortable. Hi tops on one side couches and armchairs on the other. Open wood ceiling with interesting things hanging from it. An old "very old" canoe among them and an abundance of bottle openers, hanging from string, within arms length from any spot in the building. Well almost any spot. The service here was great. I believe all of the employees at one time or another came by to make sure I was good or to answer any questions I had. All of them seemed knowledgeable about the beers and were more than willing to offer recommendations. While here I tried there fish tacos and pizza. Both were good, prepared well and very tasty. A really good fit with the beer and much better than your usual fried bar fare. Its not like the food is the star here anyway and glad its more than just nuts and pretzels. Well, with way too many beers to try in one visit I must and will come back . I will drag my fellow beer loving friends along and definitely will recommend this little hidden hide away to others. Till next time, Cheers.

This place is the epitome of "cool". Such a casual and unique restaurant. Even though I'm not much of a beer person, I can still appreciate the exceptional selection. It looks like a converted liquor store turned into a hang out spot. Definitely worth checking it out.

This used to be my favorite craft beer place. The ambience was great and very chill, the service was friendly, and the food was great. Now, it's always over-crowded. The beer selection is over-priced and is just as good as any Total Wine store (except it's 3x the price here). The food is not as good as it used to be and the service sucks. Maybe i've told too many people good things about this once hidden gem... It's off the list for me.

Great Atmosphere, Great Food, and Great Beers. I was pleasantly surprised with Riverside. Although, the kitchen is slower than most restaurants, if you aren't in a hurry and are able to hang out and enjoy a couple beers this place is the best in Ft. Lauderdale. The pulled pork sandwich and the fish tacos were great. They were recommended by the waitress and I am so happy we listened to her. Biggest negative was when we went back for breakfast the next day there was no disclaimer regarding the cooking time for their omelets. We waited over an hour for eggs to bake. Overall, I thought this place was great and would recommend it to anyone in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

Excellent find on Yelp! Late lunch (and a couple local beers) before our flight home out of Ft. Lauderdale. Didn't know the area and was a little worried about the neighborhood. We trusted Yelp reviewers, and the promise of fresh local food, and we weren't disappointed. We ordered fresh hummus (three varieties), a veggie wrap with fresh mozzarella, yum, and a tuna melt (just okay ). Helpful advice on the beer choices, including local brews on tap, and friendly staff and patrons.

  • J H.

We've been here three times and have ordered the same food every time. A regular salad, hummus, and fries. And all three times, without fail, these simple items have taken at least 35-40 minutes to get to the table. Even when there are only a few customers in the place. It's 100% perplexing. I can get good beer and mediocre food elsewhere and pay less without getting hangry.

Everything about this place is awesome. Local hangout, local beers, great food and total Floridian vibe. Try the north fork sandwich, I swear not even a sub shop can compete with this monster of flavor!

Decent hummus sampler and BBQ pizza, but the fish tacos where very dull and overcooked. Great selection of craft beer, but slow service and not a glass of ice water to be found. Not sure if I will try again, especially since the restaurant was about 95 degrees this day.

ermahgerd. that is all that really needs to be said about Riverside Market. This place is truly one of a kind. Hidden back in a residential neighborhood, you are only going to find RM if you are looking for it - and I think that is one of the best things about it because the people want to be there and appreciate all it has to offer rather than full of tourists and randoms. The second I walked in my first time a smile came to my face. Coolers and coolers of self serve craft beer line the walls while tables and couches fill the space. It's just the perfect atmosphere. I didn't think it would be possible to top the incredible selection of beer, but they do with their food. Everything I have had so far has been wonderful, and the things I haven't had I will need to try because I salivate as I look at others with them BBQ Chicken Pizza - this is unreal. I don't usually eat pizza but i made an exception because I had heard good things. And I am so glad I did. I would highly recommend this. Hummus Plate - RM makes their own hummus, and they serve it with a healthy portion of warm pita bread. So good Breakfast Omelette - I ordered the 305 omelette which was great. Its prepared like a quiche which was surprising but extremely tasty. I will definitely be back for it. The only disappointment was the breakfast potatos. Not much flavor but with everything else this place has to offer I can easily let it slide. I love this place and hope it sticks around for quite some time.

I love this place so much I want to murder it. Like I literally want to punch it in the face and smother it with my love. So this weekend brought about two things: 1) urban weekend and 2) one of my great friends had a cousin visiting from NY that she wanted to show a good time. Normally, we would have taken an out of town guest to the hottest spots in Miami, but seeing as it was urban weekend, we decided to take a different approach. Basically, the night's events were placed solely in my hands, 100% up to my discretion, so I said "f*ck it, we are going where I want to go" and I have been wanting to try out Riverside Market for months now, so there we headed. I told my friends where we were going and to dress casually and be ready eat/drink into oblivion. What happens? They dress in heels, justifying this with "but it's Saturday night." I was a little concerned how they would fit in at Riverside Market, but whatever, I told them. So we get in my car (where the New Yorker rudely commented on it's grimy state) and headed off to Riverside Market. Saying this place is off the beaten track is putting it lightly. There is no damn track, it's in the middle of a neighborhood. literally, my GPS said something like this (*note:not actual directions) Get off at Davie Blvd. Turn left onto 11th street. Turn right on 17th ave. blah blah blah and you're like "WTF is going on here?"... until you finally find it and then you're like "this place is the sh*t." So we pull up and park in front of the neighboring building and I make a mental note to remind myself to watch for tow trucks while inside. (spoiler alert: my car didn't get towed) Walking through the entrance, it was like angles were singing in my ear. AAHHHAAHAH! Case upon case of magical beer goodness and of any variety you might want. The atmosphere was super chill and relaxed. An order-at-the-counter and seat-yourself place. My only qualm is that the patrons in here were openly judgy. Yes, my friends were wearing swanky outfits and full hair/makeup, but so what? The couple that was lounging on one of the leather couches at the front of the store were openly laughing at us when we walked in. And these are not my insecurities talking, the guy actually said "Nice shoes" to my friend, his smoke-infused voice dripping with sarcasm, and all the people in his party laughed like school-children picking on a red-head. Not cool. But, thankfully, cutie-pututie who was working there was super nice and helped us out by talking us through the massive collection. Now, I am quite proud of my beer knowledge, I know a thing or two, but there were SO MANY beers here that her help was much appreciated and she really knew her stuff. Browsing the cases, there were so many that I wanted to try and I had narrowed my selection down to about 3.. when I saw it. Sitting in a separate case, there it was, smiling at me and calling my name: Kopparberg's strawberry lime cider. OMFG! To reiterate.. Kopparbergs- fell in love with it while in London, couldn't find the stuff for the life of me back here in FL. Not at DRB, not at WOB, not at Yardhouse, not even at English Pubs or any other places recognized for their beer. So yeah, I nearly shit my pants. Taking one, and convincing all my friends to take one too along with a handful of other brews, we laid claim on a table and ordered up a pepperoni pizza and a small northern sub. While waiting, we grabbed a few bags of chips and munched away. The pizza we delicious. It was thin crust and homemade, all ooey gooey and hot. Taking a bite, the New Yorker says "Being from New York, I've had some really good pizza, I mean *really good.* This pizza is good, I like it.. but the pizza in new york is better, the dough is not like regular dough....." and then continues a prestigious rant about how flipping great new york pizza is. Because she is a cousin of my friend, I bit my tongue and fought the urge to tell her she was a little snot with frizzy hair. That pizza was dang delicious. So at the end of it, cutie pututie, the lone girl working the place, comes over with a calculator to total up everything we had. I was a little nervous about how much the kopparbergs would be. I spent 13$ on an imported beer at WOB once and that has left some residual apprehension. FOUR BUCKS. 4 dollas. four, cuatro, quatre, quattro. The whole bill for: 1 large pepperoni pizza, small sub (which was huge), 3 bags of chips, and 7 beers came to 44$. sweeeeet. Also* you can buy these beers to go. They have all the old sleeves stacked up, so you can mix and match to bring home your faves. sweeeter. So to sum it up: hidden location that adds to its cool, an outrageous selection of bottled beers and some wine too, delicious food, the chillest of chill atmosphere, rednecks who don't enjoy stilletos, and cheap prices.

I haven't been here in a long while since my first review so here's my new one! If you like off the beaten path then Riverside market is totally for you. It is off the beaten to death path. This place rocks a selection of bottled beer that would make most bars blush. Along with the awesome selection of adult beverage comes some awesome food. They dish out everything from "negotiable" sandwiches to some pretty serious pizza and everything in between. And if you thought it couldn't get any better then vibe here is also pretty sweet. Sporting some amped up waitresses to a friendly crowd of locals. If at the end of your stay here you're searching for a check don't bother! Just grab all your stuff and tell the cashier at the front what you had. Perfect. Honestly if you haven't been here yet you're seriously missing out on some local FTL awesomeness.

Ten Commandments of Riverside Market 1) Thou shall have a hard time finding this hidden spot in a residential neighborhood. 2) You shall walk in and find a comfy spot and receive fantastic service from friendly waitresses. 3) You shall remember the holy beer day, which is any day Riverside is open. 4) Thou Shall pick an awesome beer from their amazing array of choices in their refrigerator with choice that include Ballast Point, Green Flash, Great Divide, Cigar City and much more. 5) Thou shall open that said beer from the many beer openers hanging from the ceiling. 6) You shall order a BBQ Pizza. 7) You shall kill that BBQ Pizza with your ravenous mouth. Believe me, it is not a sin. 8) You shall covet a second beer at this point and soon thereafter, a third. 9) You shall pay your tab and not steal from Riverside Market. To quote the waitress, "No funny business." 10) Thou shall honor Riverside Market by returning over and over again.

Been coming here since they opened. I always forget about it and it's right in my neighborhood. Food is awesome and craft beer for days. Atmosphere is one of a kind with tons of games and comfy couches. I love you Riverside

This place is such a great haven away from the tourist-y main roads. There are so many beer choices (lot of great local Floridian brew too) and the food is actually pretty solid! For food, I had the panini grilled cheese and it was great (trust me, as simple as a grilled cheese is, MANY places can get it totally wrong) and my boyfriend had the Thai chicken wings, which he raved were the BEST wings he's ever had. Our server and the rest of the staff are super friendly and helpful when you have questions. I loved the overall vibe of this place, will definitely visit here again!

$10 Fish Tacos with very little Mahi Mahi. Rather sad. Quaint place but rather pricey for what you get, maybe because it is getting trendy. Will not go back for the Tacos. Sorry

Couldn't love this place more. Owner and staff are great and very friendly. The beer selection? Bountiful! Food? Delicious. You won't be disappointed and if you are, you aren't, oh well - take a hike!

So much beer, service is great sometimes but horrible at others. Hummus is amazing! They have a beer for everyone!!

This place is nothing like anything I've ever experienced in south Florida. The vibe is relaxed, the location is away from the crazy ft laud crowds, and the beer selection is just amazing. I didn't get a chance to order any of their food but everything coming out if the kitchen looked amazing. So glad I was introduced to this place and definitely plan on coming back again!

Riverside is my favorite place in all of Fort Lauderdale. Unbelievably good selection of beer in an easygoing, friendly sort of environment. Love the set up, getting to pick and choose from bottles at your leisure. I always start by trying something new or random and then go back to one of my favorites later. Really enjoy the pizza and different sandwiches I've tried, heard they have a nice breakfast too.Overall the food is consistently good but let's be honest, you go to Riverside for beer. I do have to admit it's gotten awfully crowded of late. No longer a good option for groups but still should work for 2-4 people and weeknights are definitely now the only time I'd go. Just be patient and enjoy a beer while waiting for a table to open up.

Found this via yelp. Thank you yelp. My friends and I had a great time. The staff is nice, the tunes are good, the beer is cold and diverse and the food is tasty and cheap. Will be back soon.

It's like being at home, only with a lot of beer. Walk in, grab a beer from a selection of well over 550+ beers (recently they have added some draft beer selections to this already extensive bottle/can selection), take a seat at a table or comfy couch, order some food and relax. They also have a small selection of wine allowing for DIY mimosas on the weekends or to make that beer hating friend happy. Their food never disappoints either. Everything is made fresh and it shows. Their pizzas and sandwiches are great but my favorite thing is their homemade hummus, especially the jalapeño. The only downsides are the difficult parking situation and the single bathroom where lines form very quickly when it's busy. On the upside to these downsides I hear the parking situation should be improving in the near future. Here's to hoping this little treasure stays for many, many more years.

I really love this place great craft beer run by real people with real personalities. This is not your stereotypical SoFlo pretty people place. Food can be hit or miss when it is on it's pretty good but I've also had a few clunkers here as well. The pizza, subs wings and fish tacos are all good but sometimes the specials are not great. Service can be spotty but the selection of beer atmosphere and fellow patrons make up for it.

Tons of Beer. Good food. Cool atmosphere. Check it out and try the Sierra Nevada Hoptimum of Cigar City Jai Alai if you like hoppy beer.

Local place, great atmosphere. Def coming back. The service is wonderful; I've been there 3 times now (over the span of a couple months) and the waitress recognized me on the third visit. They've got a TON of craft beers available and a pretty diverse menu. I recommend the fish tacos!

This is a really cool place with a very cool concept. My boyfriend and I sampled 2 beers each and were really pleased with the vast selection. The service was also impeccable- very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend their pizza too!

I really liked this place. I drove up and parked on the street. I wasn't sure if I had come to the right place. When I walked in, there were only a few people in there and I wasn't sure what to do. I sat at a table and Kevin came up immediately. He explained their whole process (Honor system for beers, let somebody know if they want to order, pay on your way out). Kevin was extremely helpful and recommended the North Fork sandwich. I like my German beers and they had a great selection. My food came out quickly and was flavorful. I liked the mix of the spicy and sweet peppers on the sandwich with the garlic mayonnaise. The staff seems to have a team environment. Everybody helps each other out and it's not one server's specific table. They all check up on you and make sure you're taken care of. While sitting there, the place got busy and there were a bunch of guys sitting at the couches playing games. People came in for beer to go. The staff will make recommendations for beers and it's a fun environment. I definitely will be back when I go to Ft Lauderdale and I recommended it to my friends.

This is a great spot to hang out with friends any night of the week. I love the relaxed environment and could spend a ridiculous amount of time ogling the ginormous beer selection in the coolers. My most recent visit was on March 1. I introduced a small group of women to this place following our Habitat for Humanity build. It was a perfect place to hit up on a Saturday afternoon. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich which was on special. It was tasty and satisfying. My husband and I have enjoyed the pizza on other occasions. A quick word of advice if you go: be patient. Parking can sometimes be a bit tricky, but be patient and take your time. You'll find a space. I've also found the service to be friendly, but a bit relaxed for my taste. For example, on my last visit our server was lovely, but forgot a sandwich and a couple orders of fries. It was easily rectified, but there didn't seem to be a concern that these items had been forgotten. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Whoa, walking into this hole in the wall was like finding a mirage in the desert. I have been to places like this in cool towns like Savannah, but here in plastic SOFL? I got lost in the beer selection - 500+ - (first world problems, I know). Down home service (self service); grab what you want, order food if you desire, they come to you and collect at the end or you pay on the way out. There have high tables, sofas, chairs, whatever, it's all good.

No place like it in South Florida. Great food, beer and people. Find this place and hang out. Supports local breweries and hosts a beer academy. Love it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Get your own drinks, relax and order food. Very chill.

My GF and I have been coming here for some time now and each time we come we have a fantastic experience. The location is great it's tucked back in out of the way. The cooler are always stocked to the gills with top notch brews, ciders, sodas and other goodies. The food is fantastic, Ashley in the kitchen is a rockstar. And the relaxed atmosphere is exactly what's called for after the routine grind. What really keeps us coming back is the down to earth service provided by the staff. Be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or just having some beers to relax Riverside market is a destination that locals and tourists alike will want to pay a visit to.

4-1/2 stars Local Neighborhood feel, Down to earth staff....ordered a caprese mozarella panini and pastrami Reuben. very good! huge selection of craft beers, novelty sodas like boylans, peach habañero chips, dill pickle chips. Has a very Philly feel about it, very hipster, very local, very cool. Will be back! l

This place is so neat. They have a bunch of refrigerators and you get there and pick whatever beer you want and just hang out. I have tried so many different beers here and it's just such a cool place to come in and drink with friends. Their pizza is delicious and that is the only thing I ever get because it goes great with beer. The location is not that great and parking can be a pain but it is worth it.

Our experience started off good...until we got the food! We were met at the front door by the hostess who quickly explained how the place works, showed us the long wall of beer, told us to choose our own soft drink from the cooler in the back, choose anywhere to sit and the waitress will come and take our order. She also told us about their Wednesday special on wings and pointed out the specials on the board. We had our choice of tables with stools, big high back red chairs with a cocktail size table, or big leather sofas with a coffee table. We grabbed our sodas and chose to sit at one of the tables with stools. The menu looked interesting and we found it a little difficult to decide what to try. My friend decided on the "Not Your Mom's Egg Salad' sandwich. Suffice to say the egg salad was definitely not my moms. It was average everyday egg salad on a croissant with mixed greens. I chose the "I Can't Believe I'm Not in New York Pastrami Sandwich". Believe me, I CAN believe I'm not in NY eating a pastrami sandwich. The menu boasts "heated pastrami, overstuffed on rye, drizzled with deli mustard". I was served an under-stuffed pastrami on a toasted multi-grain kind of rye bread. Nothing like what was described on the menu and very disappointing. On a positive note, some of the dishes going to other tables looked pretty good. The three fish tacos looked yummy and the subs and wings also looked good. I guess we just ordered the wrong items. I should have known to stick to a real Jewish deli if I want a good pastrami sandwich. As we left the restaurant, the hostess stopped us and asked how everything was. We were honest and explained the issue with the pastrami sandwich. She asked if we had told the waitress. We explained to her that the waitress never even came back to see how we were doing. Well, at that point you would think that they would make some sort of effort to rectify the situation. Perhaps at the very least a free drink or desert on our next visit? But that did not happen and therefore I will have to think long and hard before I go back and try something else.

Riverside Market is probably one of my most favorite places in the world. We came in here on a Saturday, ordered a pizza, selected some beers, and sat on the beat-up couches to pass the afternoon away. The beer selection is tremendous: beers from everywhere - I like the ones from Belgium monastaries - dark, heavy, with fancy labels and corks - no twist-offs for me, thank you. There's a great vibe in here among the patrons and staff. You cannot help but support a business like this.

  • Bryan L.

I started going here before the crowds arrived and was happy with it then. There were a few growing pains but they have kept up with demand and continue to improve every aspect of their business. The food is great along with the beer selection and novel self-serve method. I hope they continue to improve on the food and keep the beer coolers the same. A great local place to be.

Just realizing I haven't reviewed this place yet... in short, this is my Go-To place in Ft. Laudy when I want to just hang out. Its definitely a local gem and hopefully they can raise enough cash to buy the parking lot next door! What to expect: Super chill beer drinkers hangout place with some pretty good food. Dogs are allowed, which is pretty cool, it's by no means a dog hangout place though, just make sure your pooch isn't loud... The food is really good, we normally order a pizza (they have fresh dough) and we just tried their hummus last night and it was pretty tasty. Their beer selection is unparallelled when it comes to craft brews, the only other place you'll find a collection like this is at Total Wines, 'nuff said. -If anyone hammers this place about lack of service, they need to chill out. It's a self-serve place and the employees are pretty cool and levelheaded. I'd like to think of Riverside Market as an extension of my apartment... it's not really attached to my apartment, and I can't walk around in my boxers there, but I'm equally relaxed here and can just walk over to the fridge to grab a beer :) Cheers!

Great place for casual and fun dining. The pizza is in my top3 for sure. They somehow manage to give the crust like a deep fried effect, Im not sure how they pull it off but it tastes amazing. Many beers to choose from, like 500+. The people who work there are smiling and approachable. I recommend going at least once.

  • Nicole P.

Definitely a one of a kind spot! This hidden spot stands out from a lot of main stream bars for many reason. The only place I have been to that uses the honor system. Take your time viewing the 8 refrigerator doors full of craft beer you may have never heard of, once you have made your selection go ahead and grab it for yourself and get comfy on the many couches! Feels like a familiar living room, while the relaxed decor to match. May find yourself hungry, excellent place to be hungry. Homemade pizza is fresh and crispy, give yourself time because fresh pizza can take at least 45 minutes, fish tacos are fried up with fresh ingredients, also find home favorites like tuna melt and specials are always popping up like the meatloaf muffins. You can usually find the owners walking around with friendly conversation and easy going personalities. It's a hidden locally loved dive bar with big personality and even bigger selection of beer. A craft beer lovers dream!

As good as gets. I almost dont wanna write a review because I would never want this place to turn into a tourist spot. But, Im pretty sure tourist yelpers look for stuff in their area and this place is far out there so Its good to think theyll enjoy tarpon Bend instead. I don't know how many beers exactly it is they offer but, Good god it seemed like 300 atleast. The decor is casual comfortable ,and the Hummus. Yes. You do,you want to order the the Hummus Combo. I also, loved the Veggie Wrap. But, Everyone ohhs and awhs over the pizzas. Good people, Great Beer, delicious food.

The place is worth checking out, especially on the weekends. It gets busy, but expect that on the weekends in South Florida. Every place gets busy in South Florida, it's crowded, get over it. What makes this one special is the vast selection of bottled and canned craft beers, including lots of taps from Cigar City, including special releases. One beer to particularly look out for is CC's Guanabana Cervezas Frescas series, which is a collaboration brew between Miami's Johnathan Wakefield of J. Wakefield Brewing Company and CC. Wakefield is ranked by ratebeer.com as one of the top home brewers in the world and he specializes in brewing heavily-fruited Berliner weiss beers.

Riverside is very cool. Lots of sofas and bar tables, and walls upon walls of beer. Most of the beers I had never heard of. They did have some Cigar City on tap, which was neat. I'm pretty new to the beer scene so I didn't really know what to look for. I enjoyed most of what I got, but what I noticed is that a lot of their beers are pretty hoppy, even the ones you don't expect to be. So, while, yes I did enjoy my beers, I didn't love them - they were either too mild or too strong. The food is bloody outstanding. Oh my goodness. Yes. More of that food. This place is NOT cheap, though. I had 3 beers and a (small) sandwich and paid about 30 dollars. If (when) I go back I think I would prefer to go for lunch and not really drink beer but just get food. The food is a la carte (meaning is doesn't come with anything; if you want fries/sides you order them) and so my 6+ dollar croissant sandwich, while delicious, was way over priced (in my opinion). Still, though, all in all I really liked it. Great atmosphere, food, and beer.. Nicely done, Riverside, nicely done.

Great food, great prices, fantastic beer selection! It's a laid back place with cool people (ccol as in not pretentious), which makes it that much better - there's seating indoors or outside. Definitely will be returning - just wish we lived closer to it.

I love this place! It's a neighborhood bar with great vibes! The pizza and sandwiches are delicious and there's a large selection of craft beers. Seating can be difficult to find on busy nights, but the family style tables and couches create a social atmosphere. This has become one of my favorite places!

Awesome selection of beer and amazing food. The pizza is great but they run out of pizza dough on the weekends. All the food is pretty good. The problem lately is there just isn't enough room. It can be impossible to get a table on a Friday or Saturday night, and there is not a lot of room to stand either, however, if you want to pick up a random six pack of different beers to take home, there is no place better.

I subscribe to the thought process that less is more... but in the case of Riverside Market, I am completely wrong. Driving to Riverside was an experience in itself. After what felt like many wrong turns I pulled into the small unpaved parking lot with low expectations. Everyone has said that Riverside is a place I must try because "they have beer, Stephanie! And you like beer!" Its true, I do and you were all right, they definitely have beer. A cooler the length of a wall full of it to be exact. I walked in glanced at the cooler and sat down at a high top table where bottle openers dangled from the ceiling right above my shoulders. I liked this place already. I was told by a patron sitting near me that I could just go over the cooler and pick out whatever beer I wanted so I walked up and down the cooler before settling on a Dale's. I was hungry as well so I ordered a :I can't believe I'm Not in New York" pastrami sandwich and it was damn good. What a great place. I ended up staying long enough to drink three Dale's and run into a ton of familiar beer geek faces. What a great spot in Fort Lauderdale, an area that I struggle to love constantly.

I couldn't be happier we found this place. Great atmosphere, a TON of different beers. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable about different beer selections and made some great suggestions. Now, the Food was great. We split a personal Pizza and the house sandwich, both were wonderful. Super fresh. Very pleased, looking forward to going back.. allot.

Love this place! Really relaxed spot great for breakfast, lunch or happy hour. Friendly service, huge selection of beers and awesome staff. One menu item that really stood out are the omelette. They're baked in a loaf pan and are delicious. Definitely a hidden gem and a go-to favorite.

Was very unsure of this place.. But with the reviews, we had to try it. When driving to it, don't be swayed by the area.. You will not be shot on arrival! Go in even though it appears sketchy.. A wall full of beer choices! This is a great place to chat and have good pizza. Not a bar but the beer and soda choices are wonderful! Bring your patience.. Service leaves you hanging, but you eventually get your food, might need to remind the waitress.. Even with that we had a great time and enjoyed the food:)0

  • Stephanie S.

Coolest little place ever! When you walk in there are beer coolers to the left dispensing craft beers. Pick out your own beer and pop the top. Save your bottle caps to pay. Three of us had 7 beers combined and the total came to $26. We didn't have the food, but the sandwiches, salads, and hot plates were all under $10 with pizzas up to $12. The only downside was that its very busy on Friday nights and we had a little trouble parking. Its a fun, very casual place to hang out. We loved it and even our parents loved it. We will definitely go back again. It is good for a group of about 5, not so much for a group about 20.

Truly one of the gems of Fort Lauderdale. Casual, cozy, unpretentious atmosphere. Unrivaled selection of beer. Huge deli sandwiches. Its a living room for locals. Diverse crowd and friendly staff. If you can find it, its worth the effort.

  • Alex F.

Nice little spot in the middle of a neighborhood. I went by here to simply see what kind of brews they had and ended up staying for a few haha. They have a nice selection to choose from and you can pick and choose at your pace and if you wish sit at a table or on their couches to enjoy them. While I did not eat there, the menu looks good and from looking at other people's orders it smelled and looked good too.

I would give this place a 5 STAR if I went for the beer selection!!!!! I would say they have every hard to find beer...BUT I went for the food..very cool place,,I am a hard core water guy & this place is full of fishing history...BUT the food is OK..not great...sandwich was average,,but the people that work there are REAL,,,,not like most of south FL.. if you want to try a cool layed back place & just chill bring you back to old Florida then this would be a great stop..

  • Ryan A.

This is a great little neighborhood market/deli! The subs are wonderful and the craft beer and soda selection is about as good as it can get in the Ft Lauderdale area. The owner is very hands on, very friendly, and knows how to treat customers. I am lucky this place is less than a mile from my house. I would highly recommend stopping by this place for a bite to eat even if it's a little out of your way! For those who don't live in the immediate area, the swing bridge is now open again which makes getting there a lot easier from Broward Blvd.

I doubt few neighborhoods are so lucky to have such a cool cafe and deli nearby. The microbeer and organic soda selection is easily the best in Fort Lauderdale. The menu makes a brunch or early dinner really easy and it's a great hidden spot to claim as you're own if you live near downtown Lauderdale. They need to work on their espresso, gourmet items, and neighborhood produce selection.

I've lived in the area for nearly 6 years and I just happened upon this local gem because I was looking for a particular, very hard to find IPA. I called all around town looking for this beer to give as a gift for Christmas and no one had it in stock. Luckily Riverside Market did and after wandering the city trying to find this place I walked away with exactly what I wanted! This local favorite is way off the beaten path but well worth the journey and I have been back twice already and have been able to enjoy not only the great beer selection but the delicious food as well. I love the Ruben but everything I've had has been great. Be sure you take a 6-pack of you're favorites to go home!

Good fun, Good beer, Good Crowd. Ok the first thing is you have to do is find this place which isnt that easy. Yea its off davie bvld and that sounds easy but look at a map first or you'll delve mistakenly onto some pretty dodgy streets. Once you arrive you will find yourself saying - is this it? and if you find yourself saying that then you have found the place. In what was an old bodega are couches, the honor system and a whole lot of beer. Go on in make your way through the crowd reach into the cooler and grab a beer open it and start drinking its all fine. Thats the way it works. Pick your beer and on the way out to the register bring up the bottles or just tell them what you drank and they will take your word for it. But before you leave sit at a communal table order a pizza and make some new friends. You say it cant be? It is and why? Its just so damn reasonable to hang here as everything is priced fairly and you'll have such a good time you want to pay. Im sure every once in a while some slimebag beats them for a beer or two but overall the crowd wants this place to live on so all usually pay. Also the sandwiches are pretty great too. SO for a different night just go to the Riverside.

Reasons why I like this place: -close to my house -delicious sandwiches! -great micro-brew selection -friendly service Seriously, bring a friend, get the North Fork sandwich (large, to share), grab two beers, and enjoy!

This is a hidden gem in Sailboat Bend. All the food is great, especially the pizza (BBQ Chicken Pizza is my favorite). The staff is always nice. The owners are fantastic. For example, even if an item is not on the menu, if they have the ingredients, they will make it for you. And what can be said about the beer? Every beer you can possibly imagine, Riverside Market has it. The best part about it, is that you do not have to wait for a server to get your beer. The beer is set up like convenient store drinks, and you just grab the beer you wish to drink. If you wish to have a draft beer, no worries. They have a great selection of draft beers, you just walk up to the register, and someone from behind the counter will give you the draft beer of your choice. When you are ready to leave, you go to the cash register, show them your bottles or tell them what you had to drink, tell them what you had to eat, and they give you the bill. It is more or less the honor sysytem. Reasonable prices, and a great local atmosphere. I frequent this establishment two-three times a week.

Good food, plenty of beer, and friendly service. Tried the Reuben sandwich that was a winner. Vast selection of beers make it difficult to choose. Definitely recommend this place if you looking to relax and shoot the breeze in casual friendly neighborhood atmosphere.

Unfortunately this place was a big disappointment. I just read about this in the Miami Herald today, where it got a great review for a warm atmosphere, friendly service, and great food. Unfortunately I can only sort of vouch for the latter among all three, and even that would be a weak argument. On the day they got reviewed in a large newspaper, you'd at least think they'd bring their A-game... but this was D- at best. Our waitress first asked us about drinks, and we said we just wanted water. She offered the bottled waters, and we said tap was fine. She gave us a funny look and said she thought we might not like the tap because it was 'sort of warm'. We asked if it was any different than regular tap and if she could just put ice in it? That seemed like a foreign concept to her, and she seemed miffed we didn't buy the bottled waters. When it was time to actually order the food (after it took her 15 min to bring the waters and even longer to come back for the order), she didn't know anything on the menu. My dad asked three basic questions about his dish, and she shrugged. When I asked for the dressing on the side for my tacos, she said, what dressing? and i pointed to the clearly listed 'special dressing' on the menu for my dish. Then - after waiting 45 minutes in a place that only has about 8 tables! - the cook came over to ask about our orders and clarify them. We made two simple requests - no cheese on a sandwich, dressing on the side of the tacos - and he seemed confused. At that point we were just like, ok please whatever it takes to get this food out soon! We're starving. The final blow came when we asked for the bill. The waitress came over and asked what we ordered! We looked at her a little questioningly and she said, oh I don't have the sheet that has your order - so what was it? I have never in my life, no matter what kind of eating place I've been to, had a waitress just not have our order listed or even vaguely remember it. Overall, I was really frustrated and disappointed with the service here - so much so that it put a damper on a pretty decent fish taco dish I had. I can't praise the food given how long it took to come and how mindless our server was. She didn't seem new and she was completely unapologetic - shame that other people seem to have much better service on other days.

huge beer selection and good hard cider collection, too! they have about 15 cider, including several i've never heard of (try the Crispin, it's awesome). good sandwiches and pizza. the guys were very helpful and friendly. i can't wait to go back for one of their beer or wine pairings or just to get more cider :)

Amazing place! If you want a cool hang-out place with good food, then this is the place to go. I can't wait to go back again! Amazing selection of micro brews and cool unique soda-pops. I'm a vegetarian-but had the egg salad sandwhich on home-made fresh baked rye bread (normally comes on a croissant)--it was very tasty and they are what I call "man-sized" sandwhiches. This feels like a guy's hangout joint--but I loved it. I crashed on the couch while I ate my sandwhich and chips and sipped on my drink. The people are friendly and laid back. The place is spotless clean. A true diamond in the rough!

With the exception of very few, I think we all agree Riverside Market is a winner. Love that I can go there & hang out with friends, meet new friends, & have grub along with a beverage of choice (yes, the rumors are true, their selection of craft beers is out of control) all while lounging on a comfy couch. The atmosphere is very laid back, people are friendly & the occasional 4 legged friend is welcome. Surely the world would be a better place if every neighborhood had a hangout like Riverside Market.

I can't say enough about this local treasure. Friendly staff. Great food and lots of it. (Pizzas, subs, salads, apps, etc.) Then throw in 12+ coolers slammed full with some of the best craft beer you can buy in Florida. I couldn't have been happier. OK, the music could have been better, but it changed after awhile.

Very chill place. You grab your own beer from a huge selection of craft beers and your own chips, and then pay when you leave. The food is also very well made. Sadly, I don't live in Ft. Lauterdale, but if I did, I would definitely be a regular.

Truly a neighborhood hangout. Love walking here, having one of hundreds of specialty beers. Their beer tastings are awesome and the food pairings are A1. They host lots of neighborhood association meetings/events here. They are true contributors to Riverside Park Association in Fort Lauderdale.

Went here this past weekend for lunch and breakfast. The sandwiches and beer for lunch were excellent. Omelet for breakfast wasn't my favorite The service is "unique" and "distant" maybe a tad "Rain Man-esque"?. So I'd pass on their breakfast and stick with a sandwich and a beer and don't be in a hurry...I'll go back there as there are, in my estimation, no good lunch places in FLL and this is as close as you're going to get..

I don't give 5 stars easily if ever. This gem is the hardest place to find but the best quality and care taken in making amazing dishes. If you are anywhere within 30 minutes from here...try it. Breakfast...amazing. lunch.....amazing. that's just the food. As for the beer selection, one of the most comprehensive selections I have seen in south Florida.

Great find....not easy to get to, but where else in Ft lauderdale is there an assortment of craft beer--- nowhere but here! I had the pulled pork sandwich- tender and juicy! Bought a six pack of fun beers to take home and try- enjoyed one tonight! Look forward to going back!

This place is within walking distance of my house...trouble! The staff here is great and the beer selection is even better! I still haven't eaten here, but everything I have seen and smelled while in this Beer Heaven has made me angry that I ate before I arrived! My favorites: Well's Banana Bread Billie's Chilies Breckenridge Vanilla Porter Stone Pale Ale Stone IPA Orange Blossom (Can't remember the brewery)

I wish I had been starving when I pulled up to this hole in the wall that friends had suggested for a meeting place. Yes, it is out of the way, but if you are looking for something different, and happen to be in the area (or even are in the mood for a road trip), this place is worth the investment! I don't know how often they have this on the menu, but we lucked into some fresh King Fish sashimi on cucumbers, and their own specialty ceviche as well. If you hear that they have King Fish in, I'd bet it is super fresh, and worth the road trip! I'm not a big beer drinker, but there were so many to choose from that almost everyone at the table had something different, offering the opportunity for a variety of sampling. And if you're not into raw fish, the vegetarian dishes were excellent . . . even the pasta. But if you decide to go, go hungry, and go with friends, because there is so much variety you won't want to limit the number of dishes you can try while you're there.

i cant wait to get a bike so i can bike here. its that close. hidden gem. tons of craft beers, baked eggs...not your pan fried buttered covered usual. couches, free wi-fi, and my girlfriend liked the coffee. so that's a plus! friendly staff...i totally didn't feel like i was in the 954. i like that feeling will be back, for sure.

Selection is the key to the neighborhood gem. I'm now a regular and can find something different to nosh every time. The beer selection is vast. The warmth of those who welcome you is heartfelt. I recommend a visit here, even though finding this spot requires a friend who knows the way (or a good GPS). Love the Margherita Pizza with fresh mozzarella. And a cold Lagunitas Beer of course.

Fantastic! My husband and I were so excited when this place opened up! SO many choices on the menu, new specials everyday (I always recommend any soup they offer), and this is a wonderful place to have breakfast on Sunday. Our favs so far are the hummus (sooooooo gooooood) ALL the pizzas, the BBQ sandwich (when offered...good carolina BBQ sauce), and the north fork sandwich. I love the people that are behind the counter....Julian (owner) will give you a guided tour of the beer offerings, Mark and Joel (chefs) make the most fabulous meals and pour their hearts into it, and then there are the people of the Riverside Park neighborhood hanging out, having a good time (great place to meet new people!) Thank you Thank you for opening! Im sure Ill be down for lunch or dinner tonight!!!

I love very close to Riverside and I am glad that it opened. It is owned by a great guy..if you need anything just tell Julien, he listens and he cares. The food is very good, a comfortable atmosphere and it's clean. If they are busy, there might have to wait for a few minutes. It is in an "out of the way" location but it is literally 2 minutes off Broward Blvd...so its not like your going to west bum****. If your in the area and want a nice meal, give em a shot.

7/1/2015 - Sam Adams BEER BINGO! This was our Wednesday Hump Day Ladies Night! Get there early for parking and for seating. When we arrived, all seats were taken. We grabbed a beer and a menu and waited in the back. (Beer is based on the Honor System, grab as you go, then take the bottles to the register and pay) A very nice couple offered to share their table with us. We chatted about the menu and the beer. It was their first time. Our friend got the Bingo Cards $5 each, and while walking to the register she was able to find a table so we moved. We ordered their Large Chicken BBQ Pizza $15. It was 3 of us and it was plenty. We even had 2 pieces left. The chunks of chicken breast were huge, the BBQ sauce is sweet and it is a thin crispy yummy crust. The staff works very well together, great service despite of how busy they were. They have plenty and I mean plenty of beers but we Drink Local so we had the Funky Buddha More Moro Blood Orange IPA, SweetWater IPA, and Native Beer. Bingo was hosted by Samuel Adams and I will brag by saying that our table was the LUCKIEST TABLE of the evening. Our friend Jenn F., was the 1st winner of the evening with her lucky BINGO!. Angie S. won a shirt in Trivia, and Jenn F. won again at trivia and gave me her shirt. Sharing is Caring!

Me and some friends biked to here and it was my first time coming to Riverside Market. From the outside it looked like an old 7-Eleven store but upon walking in, I was was wowed. The inside decor was really neat, from the broken bottle lights to the huge couches. It was like you were in your friends basement having a chill party. The left side has a bunch of fridges loaded with every type of beer you can imagine. There's a special local craft beer fridge which is awesome. I opted for a Wells Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale, delicious creamy brown ale. The beer system works on an honor code, you grab and drink then bring all the empty bottles to the register. There are servers floating around to take food orders. The server was very nice and quick amongst the crazy Saturday night rush. After we arrived, it got even busier so I can see it hard to find a place to sit on weekends. I ordered a Margherita pizza. It was pretty good with my beer but if I had it alone, it might have fallen a bit short. The crust edge was toasted well but the center dough with cheese and tomatoes was a bit too oily and fell limp. But overall very good and the experience here topped everything.

I come here pretty regularly but have never been for breakfast because, well, it's a beer place and I don't usually drink beer for breakfast. But, I'm part of a club that goes for runs on Sunday morning and then out to breakfast. We were running on Ft. Lauderdale beach and wanted to try someplace different so we picked Riverside Market. We arrived about 30 minutes after they opened and were the only people there, which was actually awesome. The staff answered all of our questions (beer and breakfast related), offered us coffee and didn't make fun of us when we got super excited about the fresh out of the oven red velvet cookies they had cooling on the counter. I ended up getting the breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Bacon, egg and cheese on a super fresh, buttery croissant. Everything was warm and melting and amazingly good. There was no way we could visit Riverside and not get a beer so we picked the most breakfasty options we could find. They included a Travelers Grapefruit, a Gringolandia Magnifica and a Not Your Father's Root Beer. Let's just say we left with a six pack of Travelers and Root Beer, three cookies, a Riverside tee shirt (only $15!) and a new place for breakfast.

Great beer selection and staff! The veggie options aren't the worst either. Good veggie wrap, pizzas, and paninis. Great if you want to have a large gathering of people or a party atmosphere. Not so great for local friends looking to grab a beer and hang out. There isnt much seating at this location and it can be hectic to say the least. I love this place if I go with a large group but find it rather obnoxious if I want to go with a friend or my boyfriend. Hopefully the new location will have more isolated seating options.

Riverside Market is one of my favorite places in Ft. Lauderdale. It is tucked in the back of a neighborhood area and parking can be super limited so go early on a Friday and relax. The have an insane collection of beers and even the food is phenomenal. The pizza is fresh out of the oven and you have a flavor sensation in your mouth while you eat. The beer selection is amazing. They have everything from local beers to rare, hard to find beers and even average everyday beer. I almost hate reviewing it because I love how it's this quaint little place and it feels like you're in your own neighborhood when you're there. I love the environment and the staff are very nice and friendly.

Seriously amazing place! If you haven't visited and you're thinking about it, STOP THINKING! GO! Went here on a Wednesday night after Tap 42 was a 45 minute wait and ridiculously crowded- Couldn't have been a better backup plan! Got front row parking and immediately grabbed a table and got service. Grabbed some chocolate, pumpkin, and golden bottled brews (took some to go), CCB El Coco on draft, garden salad, hummus (sundried tomato and orig. garlic) w/ pita bread, and a half cheese/ half barbecue chicken pizza- ALL OUTSTANDING! I like how things work @ Riverside: come in, search through the 12 or so coolers FULL of a huge variety of craft beers (small bottles, large bottles, cans) and wine (small but nice selection), pick your poison, crack it open and enjoy. Keep the empty bottles to scan them/ pay at the end. There's also several choices on tap at all times. Nothing was priced but it's pretty reasonable; there's a pic of my bill here, which got expensive because of the large bottles I took home and the one bottle of wine. But, totally worth it :) Grab a server or order food at the checkout counter in front. They also have a few board games and such in the back. Dig the local, divey type vibe and eclectic decorations. It's not a big place but the space is used very well. Just can't say enough good! Most importantly, customer service was ON POINT and was the icing on the cake last night for me, being a first-timer. Jesse is the man- he took the time to explain everything to our group and accommodated all of our requests. He told me about upcoming events, new beers they'd be getting in, and obviously mentioned their sister store across the street, Craft Beer Cartel. He even memorized our order! All employees here are knowledgeable and willing to help. The experience exceeded my expectations. So, it doesn't matter if your near or far- make the drive! There is NOTHING else like Riverside Market, it's a true gem and I will be recommending it to everyone I know.

Love the riverside market! I enjoy coming here on the weekend in the afternoons before it gets too busy. Always a cool, relaxed spot to come hang out at. Very tucked away so it's away from the busy downtown scene.

The service was fantastic. We were greeted by three people when we entered and served by Justin, who explained that we grab our own drinks from the coolers along the walls, and suggested we try a pizza and the hummus. The combo hummus was amazing! It came with hot pita bread and garlic, sun dried tomato, red pepper, and jalapeño hummus. We had a small pizza, half cheese, half margherita. The pizza was hot and fresh and crust was flaky and crispy. The crowd was a bit older (thirties and fourties) but we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere!

Another "Come for the beer, stay for the food" kind of place. Their bottled beer selection is the largest I've ever seen. They have a few on draught but I always seem to stay by the fridges full of bottles. The idea of this place is you come in, grab a beer, use the bottle openers that hang from the ceiling, and sit wherever you like. You must not discard the empty bottles for you will be charged accordingly when you exit. This idea gives the place a real casual and laid back ambience where you dont have to depend on the servers for any drinks. The servers are there only if you want to order one of their delicious pizzas or sandwiches. I highly recommend you order some food! I would give this place all 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that they need a bigger place. Last time I was there on a weekend night I could barely open the fridges' door with all the people standing around.

I have been going to Riverside Market for about 3 1/2 years and it hasn't changed. What use to be a hidden gem is now packed by 6pm on any given night. If you want a table, be sure to get there early! The Beer: there is no way someone could go into this place and not find something they like. I like that you can pick your own beer and stare at the bottles as long as you want so you can pretend you know what you're doing/looking at. Definitely helps when you want to try some new beers and don't want to buy a 6 pack at the store incase you hate it. they will offer some beers on tap as well. Don't like beer? They have a wide selection of Ciders and wine as well. The Food: SO GOOD. Pizza, wings, hummus.... I have never tried anything bad. And don't forget to grab the homemade cookies next to the register Parking: Parking can be tough if it's busy. There are plenty of spots surrounding the park if the rock lot and front spots are full. You can also park at the craft beer store if there are spots. I love riverside market and will continue to go

Going to Riverside Market always makes me happy. Fun, casual atmosphere that makes you feel like you're sharing a beer with lots more friends than you came with. The craft beer selection is phenomenal. I like my beer draught, so I'm always happy that they have at least 10 to choose from. Probably more like 20, but I've never counted. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable about the selection. Undecided? No problem, here's a sample, or two, or three. If draught isn't your thing, the bottle selection is humongous. Have I mentioned that I LOVE their fish tacos? A little fried fish, pico, and some yummy yummy yummy sauce. At $10 for three small tacos, it's a steal. The Pizza is also phenomenal. Very thin crust and the perfect amount of cheese. I love both the cheese pizza and the BBQ chicken pizza. I actually don't like BBQ sauce, but I love this pizza. I only wish this place was nearer to my house in west Broward.

Neighborhood gem. Mostly a locals spot because it's off the beaten path. My boyfreind's favorite get a way spot, he finally took me for a date night and it was great. Super chill spot, very hipster. They have couches and high top tables inside and long patio tables outside. There is an entire wall of craft beer, you go, pick out what you want and they use the honor system for charging your beers. You have a server come over and take your food order and anything else you want. The staff is very nice and informative, makes your feel like they're your friends right away. I took my family there the week after and my brothers enjoyed it. The food is really good. I've had the ruben sandwich, amazing, the clam chowder, I thought was a tad salty. I've also had the chicken wings, initially ordered them hot and our server recommended trying medium b/c their hot is really hot, and she was right, we asked for the hot on the side. Most places don't know what 'hot' is, and they sure do. We also had the pizza, amazing! If you're a wine-o like me, get a bottle of wine, it's cheaper than the small bottles and you can take it home if you don't finish your bottle. Parking can be a bit of an issue, as this place is always busy, but you can park on the street, just not across the street and the closed business, they tow cars.

We finally made it down to Riverside Market, and it did not disappoint! I would agree with other reviewers that is located in an odd area, since it's away from the hustle of downtown Ft. Lauderdale, but this didn't bother me one bit! We arrived on Saturday around 4:00pm and the place was packed! The employees were nice enough (not over the top) and gave us a little rundown of which coolers to look in, where to sit, what to order, etc. To my surprise & delight, there was an entire cooler of ciders! Does it get better than that?? - yes, they also had Stella Cidre on draft, which just so happens to be my fav. In being weary of prices on bottled drinks (per previous reviews), we stuck with ordering drafts. We had just eaten a couple hours prior; but the pizza smelled absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back for some! We did indulge in one of the homemade peanut butter (among other flavors) cookies that was staring me down! Overall, I totally get how RSM gets a "hipster" rep, but this seems mostly to apply to their staff. There was a diverse group of patrons -- all who just seemed there to have drinks and a good time. We will be back next time we're in the area!

I heart Riverside Market! Their beer selection is seriously on point and their food is equally as amazing. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Very chill and relaxing environment with games, couches to sit around and talk. Plus an array of snacks and bakery items that will entice you to literally move to the area so you can be considered a regular. Food recommends are the hummus platter, tuna melt, BBQ chicken pizza, breakfast sandwich (on the croissant), and definitely have a PB or red velvet cookie even if you take it home to eat later!

Such a fun~relaxed~chill spot to come and drink all the craft beer your needs desire! Their selection of beers is enormous, impressive, and ever changing! When you walk in you will find a whole wall full of walk up coolers filled with all types of beers. Everything from domestics to imports, to fruity beers and ciders, to big dog IPA's and seasonals; plus much more! On the other side of the room you can order from their draft beer selection which is usually give or take 8 drafts. Then at the back of the house they have a kitchen to cook up your snack attack! They also have wine but not sure the selection and the 6 pack root beers and sodas they sell are always really good! The food is better with the more you drink but isn't bad at all when you are sober either! They have breakfast, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and if they have a large brownie up by the cash register you MUST get one! It will be the best brownie you ever came in contact with!! To say the least this bar feels like you are in your backyard having an enjoyable day with great company and even better service! Every employee that works here is there to help and is very genuine in what they do! You will have a good time and don't forget to bring your furry baby! This is where the locals go so don't tell anyone you read this from me! :*)

Great concept. Walk in, pick out whatever beers you want from the fridge. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, fish tacos, and the reuben. All were great, but nothing out of the ordinary. A great place to bring dogs and relax on the patio. Cookies are pretty good too, but the food isn't necessarily worth all the hype.

This place is awesome! they have a bunch of coolers with all "single" beers. You can build your own six pack and they have a million different types of beer. They also server food here, I've only had the pizza, but it was pretty good. This place is good to grab a beer after work or to just hang out. I definitely recommend coming here, if you can find it lol

This place is a lot of fun and has an outstanding beer selection. But I wouldn't go there for the food. I've been there I think three times now for the Wednesday night Beer Bingo (first Wednesday of the month). It's a lot of fun. I've never won. Ha. I love checking out new beers, and Riverside Market is definitely the place to go for that. I can't even try to guess how many bottled beers they have in stock. And they have some on draft too! This last time I started with Abita, one of my faves. I got the raspberry one this time. Then I moved to Bison Organic Gingerbread. A little heavy for me but still tasty. My final beer (it was a school night!) was a Lantern Jack-O. I'm a sucker for pumpkin beers and this one did not disappoint. I will definitely search for this one, but it may be too late in the season. Now the food. We ordered garden salads and a large margherita pizza. The salads were fine. Nothing remarkable but nothing wrong with them either. Then the pizza came out. It was very tasty. The problem was that it was very overcooked. The crust was very dark brown and extremely crispy like a cracker. OK, so it was cooked too long. Well, another member of our party arrived later, was hungry and ordered the same thing (we're not very original!). His pizza was even more overdone and it was barely cut. He just had to tear at the pizza to get any. But it did taste good and it definitely wasn't burnt. Maybe that's what the cook was going for. I'll have to check out this place when it's not bingo night. A fun place for sure.

Riverside Market is ideal for both a quick bite/drinks and a fun night of chilling with good company while you discover new brews. Great beer selection where you're bound to find something new that you'll love and even greater atmosphere. Owner and staff is incredibly friendly and dedicated to good service. It's a bit off the beaten path but truly a hidden gem. The fish tacos are super tasty!

This place has any of BEER you could think of or want to try, good food, awesome atmosphere!! Just a super chill, casual place! They go by the good old honor system, bring your bottles to the front and pay when you leave! We we had sweet potato fries, hummus and veggie wrap & everything was delicious!

I came here after seeing the place on BrewDogs. They h e a large selection of beers and the servers are helpful. Beers are organized by price, which is actually really helpful. They have a few large leather couches surrounded by board games, which makes you feel like you are in your grandma's basement, and she has a great beer selection.

I will never go back, horrible service and very rude people... My friends and I were having a good time and a worker decided to be very rude saying oh everyone left and you guys are still here.. "It's not like everyone just left or it's not like you're last people here & I'm sure you guys want to go home cause I do.." Even though there were still other people also finishing up and getting ready to pay. Then he makes another comment about 2 minutes later as my friends were finishing up their drinks saying something along of the lines of oh you guys stay I love to work and stay here. Then as we are paying he gets a phone call and says yeah everyone just left but we aren't closing for other hour... I've never been disrespected like this and I'm extremely mad! Ruined our entire mood. I refuse to go back.. Very uncalled for of the guy..

I had heard of this place a few weeks ago when I told someone about my preoccupation with craft beers and microbrews and this place did not disappoint. My Florida-native friend who calls me a food snob (I can't help it if I have standards and I've been spoiled by the taste splendors of San Francisco), remarked that this is the first place that I've literally exclaimed "this place is awesome!" With a wall full of beers, from my beloved West Coast favorites of Anchor Steam and Lagunitas, to the Louisiana Abita, to Dogfish Head, to many more, I was in beer heaven. I did a quick count, and estimated that they have at least 550+ types of beers in their coolers. I got the Abita Purple Haze and the Dogfish Head 61, which were both good beers if you want to try something new and don't know where to start. The food was pretty good too. We shared the Chicken BBQ pizza, which was executed perfectly. I recommend some hot sauce too with the pizza. I didn't really look to see what they had on tap, but it looked like they had a fair number of options too. They also had these hipster desserts in jars. The options were cheesecake, key lime pie, blackberry cobbler, and couple of puddings. I recommend saving room for this sugary fattiness. I left full and happy, and will be sure to spread the word about the wonderful place. It is a little secluded, and next to a lot of housing, but it's worth the trip. I'll be returning soon.

Came here once I turned 21. All I could say is wow. I went a bit nuts and spent over 100$ on me and my friend that night and it was honestly worth every penny. If there is one complaint I have about the setup of Riverside, it is that they don't put price tags on any shelf where beer is stored. Given their wide selection of beers ranging in price from 2 all the way to $60+, price tags seem like a necessity. I definitely didn't plan on spending $100 when I got there. You can always just grab a beer from a cooler and take it to the counter but if there is a line you have to wait to find out the price kind of defeating the purpose of a self service bar so that process becomes tiresome quickly. The food is fantastic and priced properly. About $10-$15 per entree which is fine by me for the caliber of food they deliver. Staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly which is good when you are unsure about one of their many beers. I still come here for food even though I gave up the sauce 6 months ago.

Visited here with a co-worker while in the area for training. I have a tremendous amount of respect for a business that basis their business model on the "on your honor system". What I mean by that is that you walk in and everything is available for you to just go up and grab. The selection includes endless amounts of local beers, wines, sodas, and more! Walking into the market I immediately spotted so many locals that appear to go after a long day to unwind. There's a hardwood floor underneath the 8-10 tables along with a section of recliners and love seats which surrounds a coffee table. I ordered the Margarita Pizza from their kitchen and despite them initially forgetting to cut it, the taste was great. The pizza was a little too thin for my liking and I am nowhere near a deep dish fan, it was just too thin with the edges slightly burnt. The ingredients however were fresh and I was ultimately satisfied with my experience there. Wouldn't be my first choice, however I would throw a few back after work if I lived in the area.

I love coming here to hang out with friends and have a few beers. They have a very very wide selection of beers and also wine. The space is a comfortable casual atmosphere. They also have fun board games, couches and high top tables to just hang out with friends. What I like the most is that you get to pick your beer by walking to the refrigerator and getting what you want. The food is delicious too. A must have is the fish tacos! Highly recommend this low key fun spot.

The pizza is nice and cheesy, and the dejection if be is really strong. You grab what you want and pay at the end. Definitely a great place to relax, have a beer or 4 and get a bite to eat. Relaxed crowd with lots of types of seating.

This place is clown central. Gentrification in its purest form. Hipster hell. I went in per recommendation of a friend (my friend must think I'm a fool). The beer selection was the only upside, and the idea that you can help yourself is clever. Except why do I have to pay $15 bucks for a beer I had to get myself? Someone at the table next to me said "you pay for the atmosphere". Why should I have to pay to be surrounded by people who look like extras in a McDonald's commercial. But what sparked this review was when we asked about the "yelpwich" advertised on .. yes yelp, and some insecure little punk who was more concerned with how he looked in his fitted Brooklyn Beer T-shirt said , and I quote , "that's So two years ago" . I had to laugh and didn't even bother to pursue it any further. Finally ordered the Ruben sandwich, which took for ever (enough time for us to drink an eighty dollar six pack) . When it arrived, it looked like s$@t and smelled like a burnt hot dog. This place officially blows. I mostly feel sorry for the people living in the HUDD houses across the street that have to watch droves of shameful white people spending money like fools, taking up all their parking, and pretending a suffering neighborhood is a cool place to drink and take selfies.

I can't believe this place has been around almost 6 yrs and I still hadn't visited until yesterday! What a hidden gem! Apparently it used to be an old convenience store and they turned it into a super chill restaurant and bar. Seat yourself, grab a cold drink from the sliding glass doors with an array of beverages, sit at a table to order some food or plop down on one of their couches and chill out. They also have a bunch of chips/snacks you can grab and munch on while you wait. After you eat and drink, take your bill & the empty bottles/snack bags to the check out and pay. GENIUS!! Gives me a very Portland/Pacific Northwest vibe which I totally dig! I had the breakfast sandwich (scrambled egg, cheese and bacon) on a plain bagel and it was DELICIOUS! Our friends had the Reuben and North Fork sandwiches...both very delicious and very affordable! Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't regret it.

This is a five star hang with a 10 star collection that is the Louvre of Beers. If you want to try great, unusual, and downright weird beers, or just find a completely chill spot to hang with friends, this is your out of the way place you've always dreamed of. TEA TOTALERS: They have craft and exotic sodas for you. The service was excellent! The wait staff was amazing. So why, with all this ranting and raving, only four stars? The food is okay. I ordered a sandwhich which looked ginormous when it arrived, but it was tons of veggies and a very small amount of meat, particularly compared with a Laspada's hoagie for the same price. The pizza was not bad, just not good. The crust was nice and thin but it was overmixed/kneeded and too chewy, and the cheese was applied with the care and detail of a Dominos. I don't want Jim H. tossing it together so that the cheese overload forms pools of grease that made it look like the LaBrea Tar Pits. I can see, given the large crowd of millennials it draws, why it gets raves, because most college-aged folk are used to food that is pretty "produced," but as I write for so many foodies that like to try out places, on this one point I would hope that the management can step up their game a bit and put the same hip-WOW into the food that they put into the beer and the clubhouse atmosphere that rocks. This place deserves the five star rating that it gets from so many.

    1. Don't order the pizza unless you like ketchup on cardboard. It's absolutely terrible: flavorless sauce, hard dough, and takes forever when they're busy. Drinking beer with friends & got the munchies? OK, at least you don't have to leave to stop your hunger. But be advised: this is NOT a food destination. (And I can live with that.) Eat before or after, but go in hungry & that's on you. 2. A huge bottled beer selection can only mean one thing: too many are stale & skunked! And RMC is not an exception to this law of nature. RMC has at least 6 full-sized, glass beer bottle coolers, and maybe a dozen taps. Someone is definitely doing their homework on selection, there are many great craft beers & brew houses represented there. But while all the pretty bottles LOOK great, unless they all are all selling, they are just collecting dust, going out-of-date & spoiling. Turnover is crucial, and they clearly don't know this (or care) at RMC. Stick to the tap brews and you're less likely to be disappointed. On a recent visit, a friend self-selected a highly-rated, excellent brew, only to be disappointed by it being terribly spoiled. Closer inspection revealed the bottle was almost 2 months past its "drink by" date. I advised him to tell the staff. We went to the counter, and they could not have cared less. One of the staff actually said, "it's beer! It's not like it's a loaf of bread or something!" Which of course, is not true at all if you know beer. And this is supposed to be a beer specialty destination? It's just not working. Beer is sensitive to how it's handled, shipped, stored, and how long it's been around. Dates don't guarantee anything, they are guidelines. If beer is stored well, it can be good longer. But it's just not very likely in South Florida heat. It's why you HAVE to have turnover to keep beer fresh. Unfortunately, too few people are savvy to this. But at least the staff of a beer place should be on it! You also can't stock every great beer, it's just not possible. You can selectively choose excellent beers, and rotate in a few new gems on a regular basis. But all of those bottles on all of those shelves? It's a disaster waiting to happen. The staff reluctantly didn't charge us for the beer. But it never should have been on us to be so uncomfortable over their bad business practices! They never apologized, just treated us like we were trouble. Wow. But it got worse when I had a bottle of Lagunitas NightTime black ale. One of my favorite brew houses, I have been to their Petaluma, CA tap room many times. It was just okay, again, freshness issues. Okay, I expected that. I told the staff I wanted to pay (you help yourself & the honor system tracks you) for my one beer. I was charged $7.42 for that one 12 oz. bottle. That was absolutely outrageous. (In hindsight, I wonder if they weren't "getting back" at us for telling them a bottle of beer was spoiled.) All of it was unacceptable, in any case. 3. I have been to RMC many times, and sometimes you can get lucky and the beer is okay. There have been times I had no trouble with skunked beer, but picked carefully. The atmosphere is very unique, and the old leather couches & recliners (when there are any open!) are a cool touch. The sort of eclectic storage warehouse theme is good. I'm giving a star for the atmosphere, it is cool. 4. Parking is horrible, the gravel lot is tiny (and perpetually full) and there is virtually no street parking nearby. But the out-of-the-way, hipster-dufus, indie feel is what you go there for. Guaranteed stale beer if you go there enough and $7.42 for one bottle? I have traveled more than most, worked for the world's largest airline for 2 decades. I have made a point of following excellent beer everywhere I go. And Riverside Market Cafe lost me forever on that night. Sorry guys, the love is over.

Like wow I stepped into a neighbourhood I never saw, my husband never saw in all 30+ years he's lives here! You have to cross a tiny bridge and drive down a tiny road and I was thinking "what did I get myself into?" as we pulled up to the parking lot and saw that's the outdoor patio - the parking lot. We walked inside and I see the walls are coolers of beer. It's a lively dark bar with couches and hightop tables where you can find a seat beside others. Reminded me of a college bar. Go to the cooler and grab your fav Beer or Cider, or the Tap where the craft beers change daily/ weekly. Some Customers even pick up cases here and you show the empties (and case) at the end for the payment...old school system. My man got his favorite beer out of the cooler -UFO the Big Squeeze shandy from Harpoon Brewery. it tastes like grapefruit juice fyi..try it it's amazing. He first got hooked from the Yelp Burstday event tasting. I wanted to try stuff on tap. I asked for the 2 x IPA thinking it's a hoppy beer, and the bartender showed me this Sixpoint Brewery Resin beer , clear winner for me. We sat outside. After a waiter came by to take our order, other waiters kept asking if anyone helped us. We ordered the a pita and 3 kinda of hummus. It was fresh pita, and the hummus was good. There wasn't much difference between the 3 dips in my opinion, but pretty darn tasty and went deliciously well with beer. The fish Tacos. So beautiful in presentation. It was tasty and fresh. This is a good dish to order! The tacos are pretty big and light, again perfect beer food. We ordered a half margarita half BBQ chicken pizza. Yum the margarita was good. I never saw tomato sauce on one before but it was moist and crunchy, yummy tasting cheese, all around a good pizza. The BBQ sauce is a little to sweet for me but I was happy with the amount of chicken, it's not like they out 3 slivers of chicken like other places I've been to. Really good pizza I recommend it. It rained and we had to move inside to finnish off the pizza and beer. Marisol F, and Glenn G came by to say hi. I think I probably came to Riverside Market because of you guys! Thanks for the review and I appreciated this Yelp find! Amazing beer great food a laied back atmosphere I can't wait to come back here!

This is a very cool, local, and unpretentious spot. Over 600 beers to choose from -- what?!?! They also have wine and non-alcoholic drinks. Serve yourself from the coolers (beers are arranged by price: cheap beers in cooler #1, and the prices go up as the cooler numbers increase), order on-tap drinks from the bar, and order food from the servers who are wandering around. Save your empties and pay on the honor system. I'll be back.

I cannot say enough about this place. Such a great place and looks so un-assuming! First you walk in and the perimeter is lines with coolers of delicious different beers. The only beer I could find was of Indian variety. Second, it doesn't get more comfy than to sit on their couches or benches and share stories, and get this..they even have board games!!! Third, the food is really very good...just what you want with an ice cold beer!! Forth, you can easily spend an entire afternoon with your friend and have a great time!!!

Yo, this place is a lovely find after you exit the maze of dark roads you have to take to get there. So you definitely need to know about this place to go to it, it's not a pass by spot. It's an experience inside. Expect your uncles cabin when he's hosting some friends and just hanging out. It was packed on a Monday night so we grabbed some spots at a communal high table. One of the reasons I am not giving it 5 stars, is because everything is very close to each other so I had to keep moving my seat when people needed to squeeze by. Just so much beer =) Not a bad thing but not the most comfy. Ya'll, an entire case of cider... I was in heaven. Favorites and rare ciders! It is such a lovely pleasure when I go to a beer place and they understand cider is part of that family. My favorite was the Woodchuck Cellar Series! The dry hop, so refreshing! They have sammies and snack items. I went for the cold turkey blt on a hoagie roll. It was perfection. Fresh lunch meat, great roll, perfect to accompany my variety of ciders. The service was a bit off but once we did get a server, he was very cool. He was theming his tables with famous people's names and we went with Jax Teller and he immediately took a liking to us =) It's a spot that has large trust in it's customers as you just walk up and pick whatever you would like to drink, then bring the bottles up and pay at the end. Thought that was very cool, you never had to wait to grab a drink. Genius. Also, pet friendly inside and out. Love that. Overall, adore this spot and thank you Yelp for making it well known!

This is like a grown up candy store! I felt like I was a kid on an Easter egg hunt while quickly grabbing unique beers from the cooler cases as I found beers I had never heard of before. This appears to be an old convenience store, turned into beer heaven! There are coolers with approximately 600 different beers to choose from. You are allowed to select from the coolers and either drink there, or you can buy the beers to take home. Once you are done, they ring up your empty cans/bottles on your way out. One downside is not knowing the prices of any of the beers until you bring them to the counter. As far as food-- my friend and I split the grilled cheese and tomato soup special. While it was fresh & delicious, it took over 30 mins because they ran out of soup and instead of asking us if we wanted something else, they decided to make a complete fresh batch of soup for us. Again-- it was very delicious, but it would have been nice to be asked what we wanted to do because we hadn't planned on staying that long. Due to the extra time that we ended up spending there, I grabbed wayyy more bottles of beer than I had expected (possibly their plan all along? Lol). Their selection was just too good to not take advantage of. I wish that there were places like this near Savannah, GA!

THIS is the place you need to not rely on Yelp for; the local cretins all love this place; eating overpriced sandwiches with a craft beer in a store is a good time for those who are uncomfortable in a buttoned shirt. I got a pastrami sandwich once here and they grilled it. Enough said.

One of the best (if not the best) places to visit in the Las Olas area. I will try my best to paint the picture. Your GPS leads you through a residential neighborhood to what looks like an old 7-eleven store. You park your car where you can and walk into a store with beers coolers on the left, eccentric decoration all over the place, couches and tables with stools. Though the ambiance may seem a little intimidating have no fear. Grab a beer and sit where you can. This place is as relax as it gets. You can grab a beer from any of the coolers take it to your table and drink it. That's it! When you're done, take your empty bottles to the cashier and pay up. Servers will come by asking if you would like some food. They make some truly amazing home made pizzas. I'd even say some of the best in this area alone. This is a great place to lounge drink beer and bring some playing cards to have a good time. Don't have any? There is a selection of old school beaten up board games you can enjoy. Sure they may be missing some parts but its all in good fun. The BEERS. The selection of beers from all over the world is very complete. They have a revolving stock of beers. They come and they go. I love coming here and picking a new beer in the never ending quest to find my favorite. Finally, and most importantly this place is laid back. You're here to sit back relax and enjoy . Uptight people expecting upscale accommodations and service are better off staying home or going elsewhere.

Root beer beer!!! This place is a great hangout spot. Very casual atmosphere. You pick your beers from the cooler and sit down and relax and drink them. They have bottle openers hanging from the ceiling. There are couches and high top tables. They have board games you can play. The first Wednesday of the month they have $5 card bingo where you can win free beer. The beer selection is amazing. They also have about 10 beers on tap. None of the prices are listed so it is a surprise when you checkout. You can also order food...pizza, sandwiches, soups. They have a bike rack to lock your bikes. They also have about 4 tables out front if you are a smoker. The parking lot is small so you may need to park across the street in the grass along a fence line. Overall, it is a great place to try new beers and hangout with your friends. I thought the beers could have been chilled more. the a/c is also not the best. There is one bathroom for all patrons. Be prepared to wait you turn when it''s packed!

GREAT FOOD! Awesome place for a laid back lunch or dinner with friends or family. We had the bbq chicken pizza and a sub... Both so so good! They are also a beer Mecca! Bottles and draft available. 100+ selection! Also the outside seating area is dog friendly, so bring the pups!

One of my favorite bars/chill spots when I am out in Ft. Lauderdale. Hidden in between Broward Blvd and Davie Road, this spot has a HUGE selection of craft beers. No liquor. The staff is always attentive, the food is pretty good and always piping hot, and they have a bunch of board games such as cards against humanity to keep you entertained when you're with a big group. Riverside also have hosts movie nights randomly using the projector which is very cool. I love the hanging beer openers from the ceilings, it's creative, and you can just ask for a empty paper six pack holder to store beers while you drink with your friends, so you feel very at home. If you are a beer lover looking for a nice getaway, Riverside is your spot. Can get crazy packed some nights, so maybe not too relaxing though..

So aside from all the bangs, dark rimmed glasses, skinny jeans, scraggly beards, incomplete tattoo sleeves, flannel shirts, and bands you're not cool enough to know of, this place is pretty cool. Wide selection of good beers sold on the honor system. Be careful though, what you think might cost 5 bucks can in fact cost 9 and that shit adds up fast. Staff is very friendly and there's always someone nearby to help you out. Met the owner on my second visit and he comes across as a down to earth guy that just wants you to have a cold beer and a good time. Went once with my buddy and we had a pizza. Not sure what all the hype is about the pizza, it was ok but nothing out of this world. Came out hot and tasted pretty good but the crust was very doughy and not quite cooked all the way through. Second time went with the wife and daughter on a rainy Friday afternoon. Had a few beers and played some board games. The place is good for kids during the day and they have a good selection of games to play. Shared the hummus plate and it was top notch. From what I heard most of the hipster herd has moved on to the new location to graze so this place is way less pretentious than it was. I'll be back and you should go.

This place is amazing! Once I walked in the owners and staff treated our group as VIP's . They have an awesome selection of beers. The owners and work staff were very personal. They gave great recommendations of food and beer and even offered ta free taste of the most incredible beer. One of my best experiences in a laid back atmosphere where all strangers became friends. If you do not like a good time and a chill place....then its not for you...But if you want to enjoy a drink and good eats with amazing customer service and a clean place.....This is your place.

Seen better days? I hope so, because I'd hate to think all those 4- and 5-star reviews are for what I experienced this past weekend. Does it have a great selection of beers? Sure. But so do plenty of stores. After all, they're not serving you the beers--you're walking to a cooler and pulling the bottles out, just like you would at your corner liquor store. What should have set this place apart was the food. Not so much. The sweet potato fries were so burnt they were black. Any restaurant should have been embarrassed to serve them (photo posted). But I guess the cook and server decided they were an appropriate match for the equally burnt pizza. Server. Well, I guess he was serving when he wasn't standing off to the side sending text messages. The highlight was the tour group that rolled up on the eight-person tandem bike. Clearly this place has been found, so any sense of it as a "local gem" is long gone.

WOW I haven't reviewed RIverside yet?? What have I been doing! I have to say it's my FAVORITE. No matter what event, and no matter the date you can find a nice table to relax. It's very laid back. No one will bother you while you lounge on one of the comfy sofas sipping on a beer and enjoying some good food. And now that they added taps it got even better :)

Kevin is WONDERFUL. My stepdaughter and I stopped in for a quick beer & cider after our bike ride. What a cool place. Kevin immediately welcomed us and explained the "honor system" process with a beautiful smile and happy attitude. We didn't stay long this time but I sure plan to come back. Not only is the atmosphere nice and laid back but Kevin was even nice enough to fix a small repair (loose handlebar) on my bike so that I could safely get back to my stepdaughters house. That was ABOVE & BEYOND anything I'd expect at a local hangout.

Amazing beer selection! Great place to go hang out and grab craft beers. They have one of the largest selections I've seen in the Downtown area. They also have great food. I've only been once so far, but the roast beef/turkey sandwich was phenomenal. Also, they have a garden in the back where they get produce. The vibe is very cool, like a cozy, rustic living room. I've heard great things about their Friday Happy Hours, so I'm looking forward to going.

Finding a place like the Riverside Market in South Florida is like finding a diamond in a bucket of rhinestones. This chilled out little market is worlds from away from the glitz and glam of the surrounding area. Locals hang on the porch with their pups and a brew while kids play on skateboards and chase each other around. The one-room market hosts a varied selection of hard-to-find beers like pumpkin ciders and Brazilian ales, as well as a menu full of yummy sandwiches, salads and pizza. We stopped in after a long day at the beach, sandy and wet with our swimsuits still clinging to salty skin. After helping ourselves to a beer from the wall of coolers, I grabbed one of the "floating" bottle openers conveniently hanging on fishing line from the ceiling to crack mine open. We bellied up to a couple high tops and when our waitress came over she explained that we'd only be getting one menu to share because if she gave us more they'd just end up being used as placemats. Fair enough. Might sound rude, but it wasn't. It was awesome. Riverside Market is a legit family style place. The bussers and foodrunners are 8-12 year olds and the waitresses serve you with a smile and a "seen it all before" attitude. My kinda place. I went with the Caprese sandwich and a side of sweet potato fries. I reeeallly wanted the Egg Salad Sandwich, but I do this thing where I order egg salad and then I SUPER PIG OUT on it because I love it, and I make myself really sick. I thought I'd be smart and avoid it altogether. My sandwich came out looking beautiful and fresh. The bright red tomatoes, the milky white fresh mozzarella, and deep green basil made a tri-color party on the baguette as the balsamic glaze drizzled deliciously over all of it. I dug in and found it to be exactly as good as it looked. The sweet potato fries were hot and fresh out the oven; sweet, crispy, rich and well-seasoned. I chowed down on my sandwich, and I was about three quarters done when I realized I still was unsatisfied somehow. I loved the sandwich but something was missing. I heard a "pssst" from somewhere behind me and turned around to see who....egg salad. Oh, fine! I ordered a side of the yellow fluffy goodness and dug in with a spoon. Oh wow. It was so fresh and creamy and not at all overly mayo'd. Seriously legit egg salad. I swooned. Why did I ever try to resist you! After finishing up I felt completely content and super full. We returned to the coolers to build our own six packs to take with us (fun!) and paid out at the counter. This was a truly unique and very local experience in my SoFla vacation, and one I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to escape the swank and sparkles and enter a more laid back state of mind.

This is the first place my buddy took me when I got to Ft Lauderdale and I think we went back two more times in the subsequent days that followed. Great, comfortable atmosphere -- awesome beer selection and great food. If only more of South Florida was like this...

Visited for the first time about 6 weeks ago. This place is THE BUSINESS. Tons and tons of beer and little to no service but tons and tons of bottled beers. Sort of guided by Yelp reviews, I knew it would be a pain to find. Definitely have your GPS ready, you'll need it. Trying to find parking also a pain but I happened to luck out. I step inside and immediately notice the atmosphere. Utter chillness and stares of death from regulars. Awesome. Start to look around in disbelief of 1. the variety of beers 2. the lack of instructions on what you are supposed to do. I see no cashier, no employees. Eventually, I grab an imported magical nectar from the fridge and use one of the bottle openers hanging from the ceiling. There I am, sitting, drinking, tweeting. I see food at one of the tables. I like food. Approach the counter trying to "guess" who in the world works in this place. Proceed to ask for "the most famous sandwich." Pound one more import as I await. Receive most popular sandwich which name skips my mind. Huge sandwich with everything. Some good contents in there. Lovely acidity from the vinegar as well. I finish it in 7-8 minutes. It's nothing espectacular but with 300 beers around it becomes a 6-star manwich. Continue to tweet non-stop about the awesomeness of the place. Still sitting. Now empty handed. Waiting for a bill or a word or anything on how to pay. I'm on my way out now. BOOM. Cashier appears from thin air...calculator magic, credit card (are you supposed to tip in there?) and I walk out with a receipt in hand and an experience worth Yelping about. Check out the pictures. It's the most awesome liquor store with tables in Florida. ----------------------- I hope you learned nothing from my experience. Because this place is so amazing you should suffer in some way in order to enjoy it. Call it initiation.

A cool little place. It has a laid back atmosphere and is quite casual. It has a huge selection of craft beers and sodas. This is an excellent place for lunch. Their menu mostly consists of sandwiches/paninis/subs and other simple appetizer fare. I can not comment on the pizza. We ordered two subs, the Northside and Caprese. Both subs were large and well made. Each large sub was $9, but well worth it. We each ate half of ours and saved the other half for the next day. This place is seat yourself. It has a few tables as well as a couple couches to lounge on. Bottle openers hang from the ceiling and the decor of the place is pretty neat. Staff is friendly, lots of regulars. The surrounding area and neighborhood is a bit run down, but it is completely safe. I did not feel unsafe or threatened driving in to the area or while eating here. It is a poorer section of Ft. Lauderdale, but did not appear to be dangerous.

This dive is definitely a joint for the Riverside Park and Sailboat Bend denizens, along with the smattering of outsiders who've heard the raves and want to see what's it all about -- not unlike myself. Very interesting little neighborhood. Real diverse mix of Whites, Blacks, upwardly-mobile, down-troddened, jalopies and BMWs. I like it -- the neighborhood -- to visit; maybe not to live. Anyway, there's a gaggle of tatted-pierced types smokin' up a storm and drinking out front. I immediately love it because there's tables/chairs out front where I can mosey-in our two dogs with us while we eat and enjoy the sunshine! (However, unlike some other dog-friendly places we've been to, this one doesn't provide water bowls for thirsty canines. Still, though, it was nice to bring the pooches along....) We each took turns -- somebody's gotta watch the girls! -- to go inside and take a peak at what the place was all about. Practically a full wall's length of glassed coolers with a myriad of bottled beers!!! (My partner was a brewmeister in Alaska, so we're dying to try something un-common.) The whole atmosphere/decor/vibe strikes me of something out of the Haight-Ashbury. (I'm old enough, and have lived there, to know!) Grabbed us a couple of Breckenridge Vanilla Porters, and headed back out for some vitamin D. There's a waitress (somewhere), but she hasn't made it over our way with menus just yet.... (At the table next to us, three young punks are guzzling brewskies and puffin' away while trying to one-up each other with how many "dudes" of theirs' have been thrown in the slammer in New Orleans. Egads! New generation; old revolutions....) First round of beers are done; still no waitress. My buddy finally goes inside to see if (maybe) we're supposed to order there. The waitress overhears the inquiry, apologizes, and says she'll be out momentarily. (At Riverside, you have to remind yourself to go-with-the-flow as this is that kind of joint. Enjoy the beers and neighborhood-watching....) Waitress (good-looking) finally saunters over with menus and small-talk. I order the fish tacos, along with a side of tortilla chips. Second round of beers. The minutes are ticking by. (I'm thinking they're out back trying catching my lunch.... My buddy asks if I've seen the kitchen and its denizens. I say no. He tells me if I did I'd understand why it's taking so long....) Sexy waitress walks out the front door with some plates. Food finally arrives! Tacos are fresh-looking and very fine tasting! (Okay, so I suppose the wait was worth it.) Small bowl of blue corn tortilla chips were unseasoned, but oh-so fantastic! I know, a simple tortilla chip, you say...? It was, by far and away, the crispiest batch of tortilla chips I think I've ever ate! (If only it came with some hot sauce or salsa.... Still, though....) (My buddy says his lunch was tasty, as well.) The bottom-line: I'm giving the brews 5 stars; the food, 4 stars; the rest, 3 stars. I can't give it quite 4 stars (overall) just yet, as I'm yet to say "Yay! I'm a fan." But, suffice to say, we'll definitely come back with no expectations for some brews and try something new off their small menu. I'll be able to give a better assessment of my feelings of Riverside Market at that time.... (By the way, there's no "check, please" here, as you simply go up to the check-out counter and tell the guy what you've had. THAT is VERY cool, dude...!!) ;)

In a random location, but absolutely amazing! Found this spot through a friend. Great beer selection and delicious food. You feel like you're at home! Awesome service as well and very friendly owners/managers. Made good beer recommendations! Will definitely be back if we're in the area again... Now come to Miami! :)

I chose this place based on the wonderful Yelp reviews this received when a girlfriend came to town. Admittedly, it's in an...interesting neighborhood. Go with your driving directions (unless they say something about 9th, as I recall), and stick with it until you find this gem! Immediately it felt familiar to me. I love the laid-back atmosphere and especially the coolers lining the left wall as you walk in! It's packed with great beer and other non-alcoholic drinks that won't break the bank. The sandwiches are delicious! I had a Caprese sandwich (don't remember if that was the name, but that was the type!) with a couple of craft beers---all delicious! This place deserves a good chilling out sesh that I hope one day to give it and to use those couches in the front! They looked delightfully comfortable.

Stopped by to check out the craft beer selection and it was damn good. Probably the only place you'll find better is Total Wine & More but you can't exactly crack one open or order any food there, so Riverside Market looks like a winner. The place has a laid-back vibe and I liked the couches to go along with tables. The menu looks good and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Will be back to hang out but I give it 4 stars just for the beer selection and atmosphere alone on first glance.

How in the world did I not know about this place ? This place must have predator active camo. I wish I would have known about this place sooner !! The day I came in they had fresh made organic veggie lasagna - awesome. Great selection of beers. $2 dollar you call it craft beer happy hour on fri / sat - awesome. Organic Veggie (and hop plant) garden in the back. - Awesome. Hoping I can get some wet hop cones for my homebrew :)

Love this place, it's like being at home. You walk in, grab a beer, open it yourself, sit down and enjoy! It's a hidden gem, everyone is friendly and their food is fresh and amazing! Being in the business industry it's a breath of fresh air to have a place like this in south florida!

Fabulous find, tucked in a unique Ft. Lauderdale location. The best beer selection in all of Florida and creative tasty food. We ride our bikes to Riverside often and have yet to repeat a beer or special. Great place for breakfast, too. The free wi-fi means I end up spending a lot of hours enjoying the Riverside Market. You will not be disappointed!

I look forward to coming here- been about 1/2 a dozen times now. Tons and tons of beer, a lot of it is local to Florida. However, the margerita (spell check) pizza is awesome- order it a little well done if you like super crispy crust. Very good, worth ever penny of the $12 cost. Good soups, great cookies. Great for lunch and/or casula dinner.

Chose Riverside based on Yelp reviews for a late breakfast. It wasn't easy to find without GPS. This "beer deli/grill/snack shop" is exactly the kind of place I'd want in my own neighborhood. It practically defines the term "hidden gem." Good food and variety of beer in a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. The beer selection, perfectly suited to my taste, is huge for such a small place in a labyrinth-like neighborhood. When I couldn't decide what kind of omelet I wanted, I let the staff decide for me and ended up with one that was loaded with bacon, tomato and onion... it was fantastic. It came with a "tumbleweed" of fried shoestring potatoes that was delicious but hard to eat with a fork. Coffee, set up as self-serve, was good enough to satisfy my morning caffeine habit. I spied a delicious looking pulled pork sandwich with fries at an adjacent table. Next time, on some lazy afternoon, I'll order that, hang out on the couches with a few different microbrews and call it a day.

The staff here have the patience of Saints...a whole swarm of rowdy beer drinking runners descended on them while they were having electric issues and they still managed to make everyone happy. The selection of beers just blew me away. I have passed this place a number of times but it was the first time I stopped..really regretting I didn't stop in here earlier.

Awesome little spot in a secluded neighborhood. I live a few blocks away and never knew it even existed until the swing bridge on Palm Ave opened back up. The cafe is set up like a causal little hangout spot with a few couches and 4 or 5 high top tables. I liked that the impressive beer selection was on full display in glass cases (convenience-store style). The setup was much more pleasant than flipping through a book or staring a giant chalkboard list to find whatever you want. I tried the turkey Ruben and had a Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout- both were delicious! I'll definitely be returning again soon!

Unexpected awesomeness. Hidden amongst ghetto housing in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale exists the best subs I have EVER had in south Florida. You get there by crossing a Swing bridge (if you don't know what that is Google the term) which is awesome in itself, especially for my engineer boyfriend and come up to a restaurant among houses surrounded by 2 other businesses. The place looks a little disheveled furnished by Salvation Army, but the quality is outstanding. A wall of over 400 different craft beers are available from locations all over the world along with old school sodas and Yoo Hoo in a can! Bottle openers hang from strings on the ceiling for convenience. The people are nice, food is excellent and overall it is quite an experience.

OK, after my first visit last year I continue to be impressed and overwhelmed by this simple little place in a hidden pocket of older Ft. Lauderdale. The owner recognizes and greets me every time I bump into him. I seem to also bump into "regulars" there as well and feel more than at home. Best thing about it is it's open all day and closed with the departure of the last patron, mostly (NOT a very late night / early morning hangout, though). Mixed crowd, though mostly past their 20's, friendly to a fault, slow paced and respectable drinkers. Have yet to see any slurring, drooling patrons pawing other people. It's also not a place you find schoolkids puking all over their shoes on their way out. The menu is simple and filling, with specials every day. Menu offerings are always fresh and tasty, their pizzas are never a disappointment. No need for big-screen sports broadcasts here. Patrons seem to enjoy gathering with friends, having a delicious bite with a few unusual ales, and talking away for hours. Nice to be among such a sociable crowd with no drunken parties roaring over TV broadcasts. More often than not you will find small groups of patrons at the cases, discussing particular merits of new selections in the monumental offering of some of the world's best craft beers. I wish the staff continued success and a long run at this well hidden spot. This is one of the best treasures of Downtown Ft. Laud. I love it a lot and love it often.

I love Riverside Market! The atmosphere is relaxing, beer selection is outstanding, food is wonderful. My only complaint would be parking but there is not much they can do about that and the owner is aware of the issue. And I hope they bring back Big Rod!

OMG! Best Pizza in the area! AWESOME selection of beer! Just walk in, grab a spot, grab a beer. Grab the server, let them know what you'd like and there it is. Very relaxed, never in a rush there. It's calm and collective and just perfect if all you want to do with friends is just sit, relax and enjoy fresh good food! They even grow all of their own veggies out back in their own fresh garden! Can't get much fresher then that! Ruben Pizza is the best!

Awesome little place hidden in Ft Lauderdale. Tons of beers to choose from awesome food and a really chill relaxed atmosphere. By buddy suggested this place to me and when we were driving there we were going through residential neighborhoods to get to this place lol. Once there you forget your in a neighborhood. When you go in you just sit wherever you want order your food and just get up and grab your own beer. I am definatley going back to this hidden gem.

I hat being a Debbie-downer, especially when I know that conceptually a place is great. However, I was really disappointed with the Riverside Market. My "hip" friends have been trying to get me to come out forever, so I was pretty excited to finally make it over with my husband. The place has a very comfortable feel to it (with couches and wood tables), and the food that we ordered (he got tuna salad sandwich and I had the egg salad) was pretty good. However, the Riverside Market lost me at the pricing. My husband and I both enjoy quality craft beers, and unfortunately there was no clear pricing system ANYWHERE! The only thing with prices listed were the drafts, which were at about average pricing, but if you went beer fridge style (which seems to be the norm there) you had no way of knowing what sort of investment you were getting into unless you asked. Getting to the point of "asking;" when we went on a Saturday afternoon they were completely packed, so it would have been a mission to even find someone to have asked. I had three beers, my husband has two beers, we had two sandwiches, and two bags of chips, and we spend $54 pre-tip. OUCH! The place is neat and all, but there are A LOT of other things I would rather spend that kind of money on. I gave this place an "A-OK," which I think is fair, because it is "A-OK" in concept. I just can't be a fan of spending that kind of money for a living-room type atmosphere...

I had heard and read quite a bit about this place, and so I finally had a chance to check this place out last month for lunch. A small to medium sized deli that looks like it was converted from an old convenience store, at first glance the inside of Riverside Market looks very warm and welcoming. This place has tables, couches to relax on, and a wall of beer coolers along the whole side of the place, which I really liked. I approached the guy at the deli counter and mentioned this was my first time here and asked what's good to eat today, which he promptly shrugged off with no response. So I ordered a deli sandwich, and while waiting for my sandwich I perused the beer selection and noticed they have quite the variety of micro-brews and craft beer brands, some of which you really can't find down here except maybe in a wine/liquor superstore. I didn't purchase any beer that day, but I might come back one day and try one out. I ran into the owner/manager of the place, who was pretty friendly as I asked him about the place and the wall decor around the market. He seemed to be an alright guy. I received my sandwich and truth be told for the price of the sandwich it was not "overstuffed" like its description on the menu. It looked like a sandwich that I make at home, which it should not be. In fact, for $8-10 I could have gotten a bigger more NY deli-sized sandwich at another local deli. To say the least I was not impressed. Well, my experience here was really so-so and the place seems over-rated by some of the reviewers here. Maybe one day I might return and try something different. If the customer service and quality of food improves then I'll update this review.

Talk about hidden. This place is so far off the main road I'd never know about it even if I lived two blocks away - oh wait, I do. Brand spanking new. Small neighborhood cafe-come-goody store. They have a full menu for breakfast and lunch. Their omelets are cooked in classic French style, baked individually in small casserole dishes and made to order. They come out light and fluffy and oh so good! They have pizzas on the menu and deliver to boot. The store sells so many different types of beer, I bet they have just as large of a selection as the Total Wine downtown. Other odds and ends can be found but the store feels very bare. Maybe they should add a few more tables and more merchandise. All in due time I suppose, they did just open afterall.

It just doesn't get any better. I've yet to leave with out trying a new beer or making a new friend. Old Fort Lauderdale at it's best, filled with surfers, skaters, bicyclists, dogs, great beer & food...how can you go wrong!?! It's my "go to place" when I just can't take the pretentiousness of the stereotypical downtown crowd.
